HOLOGATE is seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Art to lead creative teams and define the visual direction of next-generation immersive VR and XR experiences. This key leadership position involves shaping the artistic vision across multiple projects, fostering a thriving creative culture, and ensuring all visual outputs meet the highest standards of quality, consistency, and innovation. Must Have

  • Define and drive artistic vision, style, and quality standards across all projects
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a multi-disciplinary art team
  • Oversee artistic production phases, ensuring high-quality visuals
  • Partner closely with Game Design, Technical Art, Development, Production, and Leadership
  • Review and provide feedback on visual assets
  • Develop and refine workflows, pipelines, and documentation
  • Stay up-to-date with artistic, technical, and industry trends
  • Collaborate on resource planning, timelines, and strategic decision-making
  • Represent the Art Department in cross-studio discussions
  • 5+ years of experience in a senior or lead art role within games, VR/AR, film, or interactive media
  • Proven leadership experience managing and developing multi-disciplinary art teams
  • Strong artistic foundation with expertise in 3D art, concept art, visual storytelling, and world-building
  • Excellent understanding of modern art pipelines and tools (e.g., Unreal Engine, Blender/Maya/Max, Substance Suite, Photoshop, ZBrush)
  • Solid grasp of technical constraints and optimization processes for real-time engines
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to balance creative vision with production realities and technical limitations
  • A portfolio demonstrating strong artistic quality, visual direction, and leadership impact

  • Experience with VR/AR or immersive/interactive media
  • Familiarity with animation pipelines, VFX, and shader workflows
  • Experience working in fast-paced, iterative production environments

Your Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the artistic vision, style, and quality standards across all HOLOGATE projects
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a multi-disciplinary art team including 3D artists, concept artists, tech artists, animators, and UI/UX designers
  • Oversee all artistic production phases, ensuring the delivery of high-quality visuals that align with project goals and technical constraints
  • Partner closely with Game Design, Technical Art, Development, Production, and Leadership to maintain a cohesive creative direction
  • Review and provide feedback on visual assets, ensuring consistency and excellence across characters, environments, VFX, UI, and animations
  • Develop and refine workflows, pipelines, and documentation to improve efficiency and collaboration
  • Stay up-to-date with artistic, technical, and industry trends to ensure HOLOGATE remains at the forefront of visual innovation
  • Collaborate with producers and stakeholders on resource planning, timelines, and strategic decision-making
  • Represent the Art Department in cross-studio discussions, championing visual quality and team growth

Your Profile

  • 5+ years of experience in a senior or lead art role within the games, VR/AR, film, or interactive media industry
  • Proven leadership experience managing and developing multi-disciplinary art teams
  • Strong artistic foundation with demonstrated expertise in 3D art, concept art, visual storytelling, and world-building
  • Excellent understanding of modern art pipelines and tools (e.g., Unreal Engine, Blender/Maya/Max, Substance Suite, Photoshop, ZBrush)
