QA Lead

HOLOGATE is seeking an experienced QA Lead to oversee quality assurance for immersive XR, VR, and enterprise training solutions. This role involves defining QA standards, leading testing across multiple projects, and ensuring product reliability, performance, and usability. The QA Lead will collaborate with various teams, mentor QA members, and continuously improve processes and tools.

Must Have

• Define, implement, and continuously improve QA strategies, standards, and best practices across projects
• Lead and coordinate QA activities for multiple products and releases
• Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test documentation
• Oversee functional, regression, performance, and usability testing
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and designers to ensure quality from concept to release
• Identify risks early and work proactively to prevent quality issues
• Support and drive test automation strategies where applicable
• Track defects, manage bug triage, and ensure transparent communication of quality status
• Mentor and guide QA engineers and testers, supporting their professional development
• Ensure QA processes scale effectively with product and team growth
• 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, including experience in a lead or senior QA role
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and QA methodologies
• Hands-on experience with manual testing and familiarity with test automation concepts
• Experience working with issue tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, similar)
• Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail
• Excellent communication and coordination skills across cross-functional teams
• Ability to balance quality goals with delivery timelines
• Very good English skills

Good to Have

• Experience with XR, VR, gaming, or real-time 3D applications
• Experience testing complex systems involving hardware, software, and network components
• Knowledge of performance testing, security testing, or DevOps-related QA practices
• Experience building or scaling QA teams and processes
• German skills are a plus

About the Role

HOLOGATE is looking for an experienced and quality-driven QA Lead (f/m/d) to take ownership of quality assurance across our immersive XR, VR, and enterprise training solutions. In this role, you will define QA standards, lead testing efforts across multiple projects, and ensure that our products meet the highest levels of reliability, performance, and usability.

You will work closely with Development, Product, Art, and Production teams to embed quality into every stage of the development lifecycle—while mentoring QA team members and continuously improving processes and tools.
