Senior/Lead Data Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Senior Data Analyst or Analytics Engineer to join our team. This role is a key partner in our data-driven initiatives, focusing on building robust data products and dashboards that provide critical insights and guide strategic decisions. You will be responsible for a strong blend of technical expertise and exceptional communication to engage with internal partners and adapt as the scope expands beyond engineering.

This is a remote position, and the ideal candidate is expected to work Central Standard Time (CST) from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and own dashboards and data products to support evolving metrics frameworks.
• Engage with internal partners to translate business needs into technical requirements.
• Write and optimize complex queries to extract, transform, and analyze data.
• Collaborate with the team on developing a data-driven strategy and its execution.
• Prepare clear documentation and reports for stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

• SQL: Strong proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries.
• dbt: Experience with dbt for data transformation and modeling.
• Snowflake: Proven experience working with Snowflake data warehouse.
• Python: Strong Python skills for scripting and data manipulation.
• Experience using Git (e.g., GitHub) and project management tools like Jira.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills for stakeholder interaction and documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Master Data Management (MDM).
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as PowerBI.
• Knowledge of modern metrics frameworks (e.g., DORA).
• Experience with building data products in Streamlit.

Hands-on experience with Databricks.
