Job Description

This role involves learning and performing preventive maintenance on simulators and associated systems, assisting in diagnosing and correcting routine problems, and performing pre-flight and post-flight tasks. Responsibilities include running automatic qualification tests, utilizing the maintenance management system, completing training, assisting with refurbishment and hardware modifications, and providing customer service. The position also requires performing logistics duties and housekeeping functions. The candidate should have a 2-year technical degree or equivalent training, and 0-2 years of simulator experience.
Must have:
  • Perform preventive maintenance on simulators
  • Assist in diagnosing and correcting simulator problems
  • Perform pre-flight and post-flight tasks on simulators
  • Utilize maintenance management system
  • Complete all designated training activities
  • Read and interpret prints and schematics
Good to have:
  • Knowledge of analog and digital theory
  • Basic skills in the operation of test equipment
  • Basic skills in soldering and circuit board repair
  • Knowledge of PCs and MS-Office tools and suite
  • Customer support and attention to detail

About This Role Essential Job Functions
  • Learn and perform preventive maintenance tasks on the simulators and associated simulator systems. 
  • Assist in diagnosing and correcting routine problems on the simulators and associated simulator systems. 
  • Perform pre-flight and post flight tasks on designated simulators. 
  • Perform basic visual alignments. 
  • Run automatic Qualification Test Guide (QTG). 
  • Utilize maintenance management system to record and track maintenance activities. 
  • Complete all designated training activities. 
  • Assist with refurbishment and hardware modifications.
  • Learn and comply with CAE quality management system.
  • Provide customer service support and address customer needs in a timely manner. 
  • Perform logistics duties, including parts received, repair, and testing/validation.
  • Perform housekeeping functions to maintain the simulators as required. 
  • Perform all administrative tasks as required. 

Education & Experience Requirements

  • 2-year technical degree or equivalent related training
  • 0-2 years direct simulator experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting prints and schematics
  • Knowledge of analog and digital theory
  • Basic skills in the operation of test equipment
  • Basic skills in soldering and circuit board repair
  • Knowledge of PCs and MS-Office tools and suite
  • Motivated in customer support and attention to detail

Location

The primary work location for this position is at the Savannah Training Facility. Minimal travel may be required (less than 10%).
