PayPal is seeking a dynamic SMB Sales Manager to lead and scale its outbound sales function. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth by optimizing sales channels, enhancing customer engagement, and managing high-performing teams focused on selling full stack solutions to valuable PayPal merchants. The Manager will play a critical role in shaping performance, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and delivering an exceptional experience for small and medium-sized businesses. Responsibilities include executing market sales strategy, leading and developing sales teams, optimizing pipeline processes, collaborating with various departments, managing performance using data-driven insights, and providing sales forecasts to senior leadership.
Must have:
  • 8+ years of experience in sales leadership
  • Strong track record in outbound or inside sales
  • Proven experience managing high-performing sales teams
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and sales enablement technologies
  • Fluent German and English

We offer merchants an end-to-end payments solution that provides authorization and settlement capabilities, as well as instant access to funds and payouts. We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk. We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

PayPal is seeking a dynamic and results-drivenSMB Sales Manager DEATCH to lead and scale our outbound sales function. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth by optimizing sales channels, enhancing customer engagement, and managing high-performing teams focused on selling full stack solutions to valuable PayPal merchants. The Manager will play a critical role in shaping performance, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and delivering an exceptional experience for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs).

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Strategy: Execute on our comprehensive market sales strategy to maximize sales conversion, accelerate revenue growth, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sales representatives, fostering a high-performance culture that drives results.
  • Sales Execution: Optimize pipeline handling processes to improve efficiency and conversion rates while ensuring a seamless merchant experience.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, customer success, product, and partner teams to refine outbound opportunity inventory, qualification, and nurturing strategies.
  • Performance Management: Utilize data-driven insights and sales metrics (e.g., conversion rates, average deal size, sales performance and pipeline velocity) to measure success and implement continuous improvements.
  • Process Optimization: Leverage automation, CRM tools, and AI-driven insights to enhance sales effectiveness and reduce lead-to-live time.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate sales performance, opportunities, and challenges to senior leadership, aligning with overall business objectives.
  • Forecasting: Provide data-driven forecasts to senior leadership based on historical trends, pipeline engagement, and market insights to support strategic planning and decision-making.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in sales leadership, with a strong track record in outbound sales or inside sales.
  • Proven experience in managing and scaling high-performing sales teams in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in fintech, payments, or e-commerce is a plus.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and sales enablement technologies.
  • Fluent German and English is required for the role.
