Kavaliro is seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) Windows Systems Engineer to support a client in Virginia. This role requires strong Windows administration skills, including installation, configuration, support, and deployment of Windows operating systems. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring the security and performance of both physical and virtual servers, managing tasks such as virus updates, patches, and performance tuning. Experience with MSSQL databases, Active Directory Certificate Services (ADCS), VM clusters, Hyper-V, Data Protection Manager, and PowerShell scripting is essential. Familiarity with Windows Server operating systems (2016, 2019, 2022), Windows desktop operating systems (10, 11), Microsoft Group Policy Management, Windows Server Update Services (WSUS), and virtualization technologies like VMware and Hyper-V is required.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Demonstrated experience with Windows systems engineering and administration, including MSSQL databases, Active Directory Certificate Services (ADCS), VM clusters, Hyper-V, Data Protection Manager, and PowerShell scripting.
TOOLS AND TECHNOLOGIES: Windows Server operating systems (e.g., Server 2016, Server 2019, Server 2022). Windows desktop operating systems (e.g., Windows 10, Windows 11). Microsoft Group Policy Management (for managing settings across multiple machines). Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) (for managing updates). Virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).

Location:

Dulles, VA.
This position is onsite and there is no remote availability

Clearance Requirement:

Candidates must have an active TS/SCI security clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph
