We are seeking a Social-First Creative to join our team as a full-time freelance contributor. This role is ideal for someone fluent in digital storytelling, agile in execution, and attuned to what performs on platforms like Instagram and TikTok. You will be responsible for developing compelling, high-performing content, including campaign concepts, evergreen brand storytelling, and trend-driven reactive moments. Your duties will include owning day-to-day content ideation, conceptualizing and storyboarding visual and motion content, staying updated on relevant trends, writing social copy and scripts, partnering with internal teams, and supporting on-site productions.
Must have:
  • 4-6 years of social-first creative experience
  • Deep understanding of Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts content
  • Strong visual eye
  • Culturally curious and trend-savvy
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite/Canva/Figma
  • Experience in fast-paced environments

Location: NYC - Expectation of hybrid in-office time
Reports to: Creative Director / Content Lead

About the Role:
We’re looking for a Social-First Creative to join our team as a full-time freelance contributor through the end of the year, focused on one of our most exciting clients. This role sits at the intersection of culture, content, and creativity—ideal for someone who is fluent in digital storytelling, agile in execution, and deeply attuned to what performs on platforms like Instagram and TikTok.

You’ll help lead the charge on developing compelling, high-performing content—from campaign concepts and evergreen brand storytelling to trend-driven reactive moments—supporting everything from editorial drops to live activations and creator integrations.

  • Own day-to-day content ideation and development across social platforms

  • Concept, storyboard, and direct visual and motion content in collaboration with editors and producers

  • Stay on top of relevant trends, visual languages, and creator formats to infuse into brand storytelling

  • Write social copy and scripts with a sharp eye for tone, cadence, and cultural relevance

  • Partner with internal creative and strategy teams to pitch ideas and build out content calendars

  • Attend and creatively support on-site production, capturing BTS or directing talent and content moments

  • Ensure all content is on-brand, on-strategy, and optimized for platform performance

Who You Are:

  • 4–6 years of experience in social-first creative (agency, brand studio, or in-house content)

  • Deep understanding of how to make content that resonates on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, etc.

  • Strong visual eye and experience briefing or working alongside designers, editors, and creators

  • Culturally curious, trend-savvy, and plugged into the zeitgeist

  • Passion for wellness, luxury, lifestyle, and fashion brands

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva/Figma (not mandatory but helpful)

  • Experience working in fast-paced environments with multiple stakeholders

 

Compensation: $7,000-$8,000/month
