Job Description
The Software Development Engineer in Test II Platform will analyze functional and non-functional requirements, design and execute test cases, and manage defects. They will write test scripts using tools like RestAssured and Java, contribute to the automation framework, and analyze the backend. This role involves using version control systems, creating automation pipelines, and generating detailed test reports. Coordination with test and development teams is also required. The candidate should have 4+ years of experience in software testing, possess strong analytical skills, and be able to work in a team.

- Experience in Java, Rest-Assured, Rest APIs
Good to have:
- Performance testing basics
- Experience with cloud services like AWS

How you'll make an impact:
- Analysis of functional and non-functional requirement, performing analysis from a coverage and impact perspective
- Designing effective and efficient test cases based on requirements.
- Documenting and managing defects throughout their lifecycle ,and conducting root cause analysis to understand the source of defects
- Writing robust and maintainable test scripts using tools like RestAssured and programming languages like Java.
- Contributing to enhancing the automation framework based on the needs of projects and requirements
- Identifying and analyzing the Backend of the automation scope using additional tools for connecting with tools like Snowflake and Airflow.
- Using version control systems like Git, Bitbucket, etc.
- Creating the automation pipeline and using Jenkins or some other build tool to trigger the automation
- Using reporting tools like ExtentReports or Allure for clear and detailed test reports.
- Using the database concepts to write and execute SQL queries for data validation.
- Coordinating Test team members and Development team to resolve the issues
What we're looking for:
- 4+ years of experience in Software testing
- Good analytical skills and decision-making ability
- Ability to work in a team as well as an individual
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Performance testing basics
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent from a reputed university with good academic results is preferred
- HHands-onexperience on Java, Rest-Assured, Rest APIs, Database like pPostgreSQL MongoDB
- Hands-on experience with cloud services like AWS
- Hands-on experience working with Kubernetes clusters for checking service health and logs
- Experience with Scrum or other Agile methodologies
- Have good experience testing Web-Based SaaS applications and their underlying backend
