Job Description
AiDASH is a climate tech startup focused on making critical infrastructure industries climate-resilient and sustainable using satellites and AI. Their full-stack SaaS solutions help clients in utilities, transportation, and construction transform asset inspection and maintenance, meeting biodiversity net gain mandates and carbon capture goals. This internship offers aspiring engineers hands-on experience in building and optimizing AI-driven solutions. Interns will work closely with the engineering team to develop new features, troubleshoot technical issues, and enhance the platform's capabilities. The role involves assisting in the design, development, and deployment of software components, collaborating on scalable solutions for large datasets, optimizing code performance, participating in code reviews, testing, debugging, and documenting technical processes. Interns will gain exposure to modern software development practices like CI/CD, Git, and agile methodologies, as well as learn about AI/ML applications.
Must have:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or related field
- Basic knowledge of Java or JavaScript
- Familiarity with software engineering principles
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Willingness to learn
Good to have:
- Experience with machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch)
- Familiarity with data structures and algorithms
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment
- Prior experience with Git
- Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)

The Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Engineering Intern to join our innovative engineering team. This is a unique opportunity for aspiring engineers to gain hands-on experience in building and optimizing AI-driven solutions. The ideal candidate will work closely with our engineering team to help develop new features, troubleshoot technical issues, and enhance our platform's capabilities.
How you'll make an impact:
- Assist in the design, development, and deployment of software components, tools, and systems within our AI platform.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to implement scalable solutions for processing and analyzing large datasets.
- Contribute to the optimization of code and software performance.
- Participate in code reviews and team discussions to improve development workflows.
- Test, debug, and troubleshoot existing features or systems.
- Help document technical processes, methodologies, and system architectures.
- Gain exposure to modern software development practices, including CI/CD, version control (Git), and agile methodologies.
- Learn about AI/ML technologies and how they are applied to solve real-world business problems.
What we're looking for:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of programming languages such as Java, or JavaScript (experience with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch is a plus).
- Familiarity with software engineering principles, data structures, and algorithms.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn and grow.
- Prior experience with version control systems (Git) is a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure) is a plus but not required.
