Job Description

Google is looking for a Software Engineer, AI/ML to join their team in Mexico City. This role will focus on building new product extensions, connectors, migration utilities and well-contained product features, to augment GCPs AI product roadmap. The ideal candidate will have experience with data structures and algorithms, software development in Python, and Cloud AI/Machine learning systems and tools (e.g., Kaggle, TensorFlow, Pytorch etc.). They will also be able to communicate fluently in English. Responsibilities include: writing product or system development code, participating in design reviews, reviewing code developed by other developers, contributing to documentation or educational content, triaging product or system issues, and interfacing with GCP Product/Eng teams to understand and scope requirements.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms
2 years of experience with software development in Python
Experience with Cloud AI/Machine learning systems and tools
Fluency in English

Good to have:

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science
Experience developing accessible technologies

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python), or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
Experience with Cloud AI/Machine learning systems and tools (e.g., Kaggle, TensorFlow, Pytorch etc.).
Ability to communicate in English fluently to interact with local stakeholders in this customer-facing role.

Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
Experience developing accessible technologies.

Responsibilities

Write product or system development code and participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
Interface with GCP Product/Eng teams to understand and scope the requirements for the product. Develop product or system code to the specs and to GCP SWE coding standards
