Software Engineer

Kavaliro is seeking a Software Engineer to support a client in Maryland.

Job Description:
Candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining a large set of distributed services written in Go, Java, Python, and Kotlin. Some familiarity with distributed systems, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, and Terraform would be helpful. Candidate should have strong background in full-stack development and the ability to adapt to new requirements quickly. Candidate work efforts are expected to have direct impact on performance and scalability of client services

Required Skills 

• Proven expertise in at least two of the following: Go, Java, Python, Kotlin
• Understanding of distributed systems and databases and/or willingness to learn
• Backend development experience
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to new requirements and technologies quickly

Desired Skills

• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of AWS infrastructure
• Familiarity with big data processing frameworks and tools
• Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful API design
• Experience with Terraform
• This position requires in-scope poly, within 7 years. 

Location:

• Fort Meade, MD
• This position is onsite and there is no remote availability

Clearance Requirement:

• Candidates must have an active TS/SCI security clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph
