Job Description

A highly motivated Software Engineer is sought for a client engagement in the electronic trading space, focusing on building an Interest Rate Swap (IRS) platform. This role involves working on low-latency, market-facing systems, contributing to both back-end and front-end components, including RFQ workflows, UI development for trader tools, and integration with MarkitWire. The ideal candidate will have strong Java and Angular skills, an interest in financial markets, and a desire to grow in an Agile environment.
Must have:
  • Assist in building components of the electronic Interest Rate Swap (eIRS) trading platform.
  • Support the development of RFQ state machines, pricing event wiring, and override messaging logic.
  • Contribute to UI development for trading workflows and integration with MarkitWire for STP.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and quants to implement core pricing models and analytics.
  • Maintain and enhance microservices built with Java, Spring Boot, and AWS cloud services.
  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Use Agentic AI tools to support and accelerate engineering efforts.
  • Proficiency in Java.
  • Proficiency in Angular (UI engineering).
  • Experience with Agentic AI tools in software development.
  • Understanding of software engineering principles and Agile methodologies.
  • Interest in financial markets and trading systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of professional software development experience.
Good to have:
  • Familiarity with Spring Boot and REST APIs.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Prior experience in capital markets or trading platforms.

A highly motivated Software Engineer is sought to join a client engagement in the electronic trading space, focusing on the buildout of an Interest Rate Swap (IRS) platform. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on low-latency, market-facing systems used by traders and operations teams globally.

You will contribute to both back-end and front-end components, including state machine logic for RFQ workflows, UI development for trader tools, and integration with external platforms such as MarkitWire. Ideal candidates will have strong Java and Angular skills, interest in financial markets, and a desire to grow in a fast-paced, Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in building components of the electronic Interest Rate Swap (eIRS) trading platform.

Support the development of RFQ state machines, pricing event wiring, and override messaging logic.

Contribute to UI development for trading workflows and integration with MarkitWire for Straight Through Processing (STP).

Collaborate with senior engineers and quants to implement core pricing models and analytics.

Maintain and enhance microservices built with Java, Spring Boot, and AWS cloud services.

Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

Use Agentic AI tools to support and accelerate engineering efforts.

Engage with cross-functional teams in a squad-based delivery model.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

1-3 years of professional software development experience.

Prior experience in capital markets or trading platforms is a plus but not mandatory.
