Job Summary
Join Governance, Compliance & Insights to build robust, scalable Java-based systems with Angular or React front ends. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining mission-critical enterprise solutions, modernizing legacy systems, and leveraging cloud-native technologies like Docker, Kubernetes/EKS, and AWS. You will collaborate in Agile sprints, participate in on-call rotations, write clean code, optimize for performance, and document architectures, directly impacting global businesses' data protection.
Must Have
- Design, develop, and maintain modern Java-based services with Angular or React front ends.
- Lead the transformation of legacy systems—improving reliability, scalability, and observability.
- Build and operate Java services (Java 11+), leveraging Docker, Kubernetes/EKS, and AWS.
- Work closely with product, UX, and engineering teams in Agile sprints.
- Participate in on-call rotations and incident response.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, and set the standard through thoughtful code reviews.
- Continuously optimize for speed and scale, refactoring and innovating.
- Document architectures, processes, and best practices.
- Proven experience with Java 11+ and building scalable, distributed backend systems.
- Skilled in building robust, maintainable UIs with Angular or React.
- Hands-on experience with AWS (IAM, S3, DynamoDB, VPC, ECS/EKS, SQS), Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Comfortable maintaining large distributed systems in live environments.
- Knowledge in CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins.
- Database knowledge, including experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Collaborative, communicative, and passionate about mentoring and learning.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).

What You’ll Bring:
- Proven Java Expertise: Proven experience with Java 11+ and building scalable, distributed backend systems.
- Frontend Acumen: Skilled in building robust, maintainable UIs with Angular or React.
- Cloud & DevOps Savvy: Hands-on experience with AWS (IAM, S3, DynamoDB, VPC, ECS/EKS, SQS), Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git, Terraform/CloudFormation).
- Production Experience: Comfortable maintaining large distributed systems in live environments.
- Knowledge in CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, ensuring efficient delivery of high-quality software.
- Database knowledge, including experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Team Player: Collaborative, communicative, and passionate about mentoring and learning.
