Software Engineer, IS&T Enterprise Systems

Apple is seeking a Software Engineer for IS&T Enterprise Systems to build innovative client-facing web applications. The role involves working with Java/J2EE & Spring frameworks in an enterprise environment, collaborating with business partners, and implementing new solutions. The ideal candidate is a motivated problem solver with a keen eye for detail, capable of identifying bottlenecks and developing innovative solutions. This position requires a passion for quality and a strong technical understanding to contribute to high-profile, critical projects.

Must Have

• 2+ years experience in architecting and developing event-based, distributed, highly available systems
• 2+ years experience in developing and handling enterprise-level technology at a global scale
• 2+ years experience in securing applications and understanding OWASP top 10 risks
• 2+ years experience with Micro-services, CI/CD, Container orchestration
• 4+ years hands-on experience with cloud platforms and managed services
• 4+ years in Java, Springboot, Kubernetes and Docker
• 4+ years working with Client facing web apps
• 4+ years experience in web application development using client side frameworks/libraries like AngularJS/VueJS, jQuery, Bootstrap, and SPA
• 4+ years experience in relational and no-SQL databases, distributed cache
• 4+ years experience in building e-commerce applications
• 4+ years in software engineering background demonstrating experience in software development, solution architecture, and product management
• 4+ years experience in Micro-service Architecture, SAP Cloud Foundry features & capabilities
• Thorough understanding of Software Development Lifecycle, tools and standard practices
• Solid understanding of source control software (SVN or Git), build and deployment tools (Maven, Gradle)
• Experience with automated testing methodologies and frameworks
• Sharp problem-solving skills and real-world systems deployment experience

As a successful teammate, help build innovative software applications. As a software engineer, be a member of the team that implements new applications, improve existing application features, while adding performance and software quality metrics to our codebase. Design and develop enterprise level, highly available web application platforms applying Java, Spring frameworks, JPA & Hibernate, REST/SOAP web services. Develop prototypes and POCs to demonstrate new ideas or illustrate the use of new technologies and how to apply it into our systems. Work with project managers, architect, technical leads, and vendors on defining the scope, achievement, deliverables, and resources needed for the project. Able to build a positive relationship with multi-functional internal organizations Thrive in a multi-functional team on high-profile, critical projects. This position requires a self-motivated individual with strong technical understanding, problem-solving, and communication. Effective presentation, oral, and written business communication skills with various audiences and levels. • 4+ years of hands-on experience with one or more cloud platforms and managed services.
• 4+ years in Java, Springboot, Kubernetes and Docker.

• 4+ years experience in web application development using client side frameworks/libraries like AngularJS/VueJS, jQuery, Bootstrap. Hands on experience in developing SPA (Single Page Applications).
• 4+ years experience in relational and no-SQL databases, distributed cache and clear understanding of standard practices & problem areas while handling large distributed datasets.
• 4+ years experience in building e-commerce applications.
• 4+ years in a software engineering background with an outstanding body of work demonstrating experience in software development, solution architecture, and product management.
• 4+ years experience in Micro-service Architecture, SAP Cloud Foundry features & capabilities.
• Thorough understanding of Software Development Lifecycle, tools and standard practices.
• Solid understanding of source control software (SVN or Git), experience with build and deployment tools, e.g., Maven, Gradle Experience with automated testing methodologies and frameworks.
• Sharp solving skills and real world systems deployment experience. Consistent track record with rapid development cycles and demanding schedules.
