Job Description

This Software Engineer role focuses on Rollouts Production Health at Google. Responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing software solutions. You'll write product/system code, participate in design reviews, review code from peers, contribute to documentation, and triage/resolve product/system issues. The role requires managing project priorities and deadlines. The ideal candidate possesses experience in backend languages (Go, C++, etc.), data structures, and algorithms. Must have:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
2 years software development experience
2 years experience with data structures/algorithms
Go, C++, or other backend language proficiency
Code review & debugging skills
Project management & prioritization

Good to have:

Master's/PhD in Computer Science
Experience with accessible technologies

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
Experience coding in Go, C++ or other back-end languages.

Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
Experience developing accessible technologies.

Write product or system development code.
Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide on available technologies.
Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
