Job Description

NVIDIA seeks a Software Engineering Intern for its Autonomous Vehicle product team. The intern will develop, integrate, optimize, and test NVIDIA Drive AV stack software, participating in the full system development lifecycle. Responsibilities include working with global engineering teams on the latest NVIDIA Drive AV platform. The ideal candidate possesses a background in CS/EE, robotics, or a related field, with proficiency in C/C++ and networking concepts. Experience with Python, embedded systems, Linux, and tools like Bazel, CMake, Git, and Docker is a plus. The internship offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of self-driving car technology.

We are now looking for a software engineering intern for the Autonomous Vehicle product team.

An AI-powered robot can learn motor skills through trial and error — this is truly an extraordinary time and the era of AI has begun. We are proud that NVIDIA is playing a significant role in this development, where our hardware and software platforms power a large eco-system of partners who are working to deliver products, all over the world. In the space of self-driving cars, NVIDIA provides the DRIVE AGX hardware platform which runs our DRIVE AV software. Our team, in particular, is responsible for delivering DRIVE AV SW stack solution from E2E. We are seeking engineers with a background in CS/EE, robotics and other related areas.

What you'll be doing:

  • Develop, integrate, optimize, and test NVIDIA Drive AV stack software.

  • Participate in the full system development life cycle and work for the latest NVIDIA Drive AV platform.

  • You will work with NVIDIA engineering teams worldwide.


What we need to see:

  • Pursuing Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent knowledge.

  • C and C++ (11 or higher) development experience

  • Knowledge and familiarity with networking concepts

  • Experience with Python is a plus

  • English proficient.


Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Embedded system, SW/HW cross-domain knowledge.

  • Experience with Linux, QNX, SafeRTOS, FreeRTOS, Autosar. 

  • Background with tools such as Bazel, CMake, Git, and Docker. 

  • Knowledge of the CUDA 

  • Knowledge in implementing LLM/VLM
