The Solutions Engineer will be responsible for supporting the technical aspects of PDM/PLM solutions, including demonstrations, presentations, and content creation. The engineer will provide customer feedback to product development and act as a trusted advisor by providing insights based on deep knowledge of PDM/PLM and related technologies. They should also be able to present in seminars and events.
Must have:
  • Deep knowledge of engineering in the manufacturing industry
  • 5+ years of experience in PDM/PLM software
  • Experience implementing PDM/PLM software
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Japanese
  • Business level English proficiency
Good to have:
  • Experience with CAD, MES, ERP software
  • Business consulting experience

  • 顧客のビジネスおよび業務プロセスの現状把握、課題分析、ソリューションの立案、デモンストレーション、概念実証(PoC)、効果の定量化など、プリセールス活動全般を実施
  • マーケティングチームと連携し、セミナーやイベントでの技術発表、コンテンツ作成など、PDM/PLM ソリューションのプロモーション活動
  • 販売代理店やサービスプロバイダーの開拓・育成を通じたビジネス開発の支援
  • 日本市場の顧客フィードバックを製品開発チームへ提供し、製品の品質や機能向上に貢献
  • PDM/PLM 分野におけるビジネスプロセス、技術トレンド、ワークフローに関する深い知識をもとに、顧客や社内外のステークホルダーへ的確なインサイトとガイダンスを提供し、「信頼されるアドバイザー」としての関係を構築

応募資格(必須)

  • 製造業における設計業務および業務プロセスに関する深い知識
  • PDM/PLM ソフトウェアに関するプリセールス、ビジネス開発、または導入支援のいずれかの業務経験(5年以上)
  • 製造業現場での PDM/PLM ソフトウェア導入・運用経験
  • 自律的に、かつチームの一員として業務を遂行できる能力
  • 優れた問題解決力と分析力
  • 最大30%程度の出張が可能であること
  • 優れた日本語による口頭および文書でのコミュニケーション能力

理想的な候補者

Position Overview

Autodesk is seeking a Solutions Engineer specializing in Product Data Management (PDM) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM).
This role involves delivering technical demonstrations and presentations, developing sales support content, and providing product feedback to internal teams. You will work closely with customers to assess needs, propose solutions, and support the implementation of Autodesk’s PDM/PLM products to ensure successful outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Propose Autodesk solutions centered on PDM/PLM software to customers in the manufacturing industry
  • Pre-sales activities through understanding the current status of the customer's business and business processes, analysis of issues, solution planning, demonstrations, proof of concept (PoC), and effectiveness calculations
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote PDM/PLM solutions, including technical presentations and content creation for seminars.
  • Business development, including the development and cultivation of distributors and service providers for business expansion
  • Provide customer feedback from the Japanese market to the product development team
  • Build relationships as a “trusted advisor” by providing accurate insight and guidance to customers and internal and external stakeholders based on in-depth knowledge of business processes, technology trends, and workflows in the PDM/PLM industry

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of engineering and business process in manufacturing industry PDM/PLM
  • 5+ years of experience in either pre-sales, business development, or implementation support of PDM/PLM software
  • Experience implementing and operating PDM/PLM software in a manufacturer
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Japanese
  • Business level English proficiency

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on or pre-sales experience with CAD, MES, ERP, or other business software used in the manufacturing industry
  • Business consulting experience is a plus
