The Technical Consultant's role involves delivering professional services and providing value through packaged services and products to address customer business challenges. The consultant will also be responsible for creating documentation, managing implementation projects, and resolving client issues.

Job Description Position Overview

The Technical Consultant mission is to perform professional delivery as well as deliver value from our thoughtfully packaged services and products to better tackle our customers' business challenges.

Part of the responsibilities of the role are crafting, developing, testing and implementing, as well as carrying out consulting activities to offer replicable and scalable solutions in order to acquire new business and gain market. It is responsible for the analysis, definition, design, construction, testing, installation, modification and maintenance of accurately crafted information systems, which contain the software as the main component, to meet the agreed business needs.

Experience in Electronic Trading platform or equivalent is a plus.

This position will be based in Mexico City reporting to the Customer Consulting Director LATAM.

Crucial Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Implement Electronic Trading Solutions projects, focusing on Consultancy --> workflow workshops, Customer Requirements Gathering, workflow analysis, Solutions integration, Systems configuration, systems installation, training and Quality Assurance.

Work with the Subject Matter Experts in customer business workflows and related solutions packages and products, providing Treasury domain expertise to our customers relative to solution propositions.

Develop customer relations at an appropriate level to become a trusted business advisor

Provide functional and/or technical training to customers based on the scope to be delivered

Follow implementation of best practices in customer consulting. Create and run unit tests and integration tests ensuring that the software meets the client’s requirements.

Build, review and maintain all the technical documentation and manuals related to the ET implementation at each client.

Take responsibility for complex / small / medium ET implementation projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time, with high levels of quality and in line with customer expectations.

Be proactive in the search for learning new technologies, products and development APIs that impact the business model of the region and the company.

Conduct knowledge exchange sessions with colleagues about the experience acquired in the solution projects as well as identify areas of opportunity and implement improvements related to the development and implementation of solutions.

Help with improvements and problem solving, allowing continuous improvement in the workflow of the development area.

Resolve incident cases opened by our clients from MyAccount on Electronic Trading, diagnose, escalate if required, test and solve the issue. Properly update the case opened and provide status to the clients.

Availability to work out of business hours for implementations on production environments, go-live processes, resolve incidents working with 3rd level support in Asia time. Weekends stand-by coverage once a month during market open on Sundays

Maintain good relationships with internal escalation teams to achieve the best possible outcome in the resolution of client issues.

Qualification/ Education

Graduate university degree or Higher. IT Engineering, Systems Engineering, Bachelor of Information Technology or related.

Required skills (Must have)

*Ability to work within a team is a MUST.

*Treasury workflow knowledge around Forex, Money Markets.

Strong systems integration experience with Knowledge of technologies such as Web-services, webservers, databases, Operating systems - Linux, Windows; Web authoring - HTML, Java, Jscript, CSS; Able to install software on Unix platforms such as Linux

*The successful candidate will have strong market exposure in sophisticated front, middle and back-office operations

*Strong communication and presentations skills adaptable to different audience levels e.g., Treasury heads, I.T managers, Project Managers, IT personnel

*Must be able to build documents such as requirements docs (BRD), specification docs (FSD), Technical Architecture diagrams, configuration documents, operational procedures, workflow diagrams etc

*Knowledge of financial markets and understanding of business requirements, considering the inner workings of the clients. Ability to work in a demanding environment to meet customer deadlines.

*Proficiency in English
