The Business Solution Owner CPQ will act as a key liaison between business stakeholders, project teams, and IT development teams to ensure the effective implementation of CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) configurations aligned with TransUnion’s business requirements. This role combines the skills of a Business Analyst and Project Manager, requiring a deep understanding of pricing strategies, business processes, and project management methodologies. You will collaborate with Operations to gather, document, and analyze CPQ requirements, ensure accurate pricing rules, lead CPQ implementation projects, act as a primary point of contact for business stakeholders, facilitate workshops, conduct thorough testing, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Must have:
  • 5+ years of experience in pricing or a similar business role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Project Manager.
  • Strong understanding of pricing strategies and product configurations.
Good to have:
  • Experience with Salesforce CPQ or similar CPQ platforms.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2).

The Global Pricing Team is our team of subject matter experts on all things Pricing. The team helps TransUnion set our overall pricing strategy across our product portfolio in partnership with our Solutions Team as well as supporting pricing execution on our larger and more strategic deals in partnership with Sales and Industry Verticals. The Business Solution Owner CPQ will act as a key liaison between business stakeholders, project teams, and IT development teams to ensure the effective implementation of CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) configurations aligned with TransUnion’s business requirements. This role combines the skills of a Business Analyst and Project Manager, requiring a deep understanding of pricing strategies, business processes, and project management methodologies.

What You'll Bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in pricing or a similar Business role, preferably in financial services, technology, or data
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, information technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Project Manager, preferably in a CPQ or pricing-related role.
  • Strong understanding of pricing strategies, discount structures, and product configurations
  • Proven success navigating large, matrixed organizations - Collaborative, customer-focused individual who can reach across the organization to effect change
  • Experience with Salesforce CPQ or similar CPQ platforms is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with experience in providing crisp, insightful information to senior management teams
  • Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus

Impact You'll Make:

In this role, you will drive success in the following areas:

  • Analysis:
    • Collaborate with Operations to gather, document, and analyze CPQ requirements related to pricing strategies, discount structures, and product configurations.
    • Ensure accurate and efficient pricing rules, discount structures, and product configurations.
    • Review existing processes and systems to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Management:
    • Lead CPQ implementation projects from a business perspective, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Communication:
    • Act as a primary point of contact for other business stakeholders, providing regular updates on progress, addressing concerns, and managing expectations.
    • Facilitate workshops and training sessions to ensure end-users understand and adopt CPQ configurations effectively.
  • Assurance:
    • Conduct thorough testing of CPQ to validate accuracy, functionality, and performance.
    • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance CPQ processes and configurations over time.

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.

Pay Scale Information :

The U.S. base salary range for this position is $126,700.00 - $190,000.00 annually. *The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this job. At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual’s education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, location, and industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position and market considerations.

Regular, fulltime non-sales positions may be eligible to participate in TransUnion’s annual bonus plan. Certain positions may be also eligible for long-term incentives and other payments based on applicable company guidance and plan documents.
