The International GTM Strategy and Operations team at Toast is responsible for setting up and supporting our International sales organization for scale and productivity. This role leverages organized data, reporting, and insights to help sales teams succeed in new markets, supporting strategic planning, testing, and building sales capacity. As a Sr. Associate, you will drive global expansion by empowering international sales with data-driven insights, strategic operations support, and innovative solutions, optimizing performance and scaling efficiently across new markets.
Must have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

The International GTM Strategy and Operations team at Toast is responsible for setting up and supporting our International sales organization for scale and productivity. We leverage organized data, reporting, and insights to help our sales teams succeed in new markets. Our team also supports International sales through strategic planning, testing, and building toward sales capacity needs and market entry approaches via TAM analyses, strategic projects, and data procurement.

Your work will directly enable Toast's international expansion strategy and be a driving force behind our global growth. You'll build the foundation that allows our sales teams to introduce Toast's game-changing technology to businesses around the world, helping them thrive in today's competitive landscape.

As a Sr. Associate on the International GTM Strategy and Operations team team, you will play a pivotal role in Toast's global expansion by empowering our international sales organization with data-driven insights, strategic operations support, and innovative solutions. You'll be the engine behind our international sales productivity, partnering directly with sales leadership to optimize performance and scale efficiently across new markets

Key Responsibilities

Data & Analytics:

  • Develop a comprehensive reporting infrastructure and KPIs that inform stakeholders on business performance
  • Distill key insights from ambiguous data sets to drive improvements in the GTMt strategy
  • Perform in-depth analyses on sales performance metrics to identify opportunities and risks in sales funnels
  • Create dynamic sales reporting resources that help sales reps optimize their performance and time allocation
  • Conduct insightful analysis using internal data to empower stakeholders in making informed business decisions

Strategic Operations:

  • Own and develop strategic business reviews that translate complex metrics into actionable insights
  • Implement streamlined processes to enhance the efficiency of the customer sales journey
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement the optimal tools and systems needed for International sales success
  • Project manage the development of centralized tools for automated data extraction and business insights

Pipeline Strategy:

  • Design and implement pipeline forecasting tools that provide accurate visibility and predictability
  • Partner with sales leadership to develop and implement pipeline reporting and tools
  • Create and implement targeted prospecting strategies based on data-driven market insights
  • Analyze inbound/outbound dynamics throughout the sales funnel to optimize conversion rates

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work seamlessly with sales enablement, marketing, finance, systems, and sales teams to develop and execute tailored GTM strategies for international markets
  • Facilitate cross-functional initiatives to ensure alignment between teams and international objectives
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications for system implementations

Thought Partnership:

  • Develop a deep understanding of our business and sales processes to support Sales teams in achieving their goals
  • Build a reputation as an effective communicator and trusted advisor to GTM and International Sales Leaders
  • Proactively identify challenges and opportunities, presenting solutions to key stakeholders
  • Leverage data storytelling to influence decision-making and drive strategic initiatives

Do you have the right ingredients\*? (Requirements)

  • 3-5 years of experience in sales operations, business operations, strategy, or related fields
  • Nimble problem-solver who thrives in ambiguous environments and can create structure from complexity
  • Creative, tech-savvy, and intellectually curious mindset with excellent communication skills
  • Strong data visualization abilities with experience translating data into compelling narratives
  • Strong Microsoft Excel/Google Suite analytical skills
  • Technical proficiency with Salesforce, Sigma, Snowflake, Hex, Python, and SQL
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders in a matrix environment
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to senior leadership
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • Experience supporting international or global sales organizations

The base salary range for this role is listed below. The starting salary will be determined based on skills and experience. In addition to base salary, our total rewards components include cash compensation (overtime, bonus/commissions, if eligible), benefits, and equity (if eligible).

Pay Range

$84,000—$134,000 USD
