Job Description

The Sr Business Systems Specialist ensures daily tasks are organized, aligns quality standards with departmental responsibilities, and develops a deep understanding of current business processes. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders on continuous improvement initiatives and translating business goals into system functionality to support OLG's transformation and deliver great gaming experiences.
Must have:
  • Lead business task completion for consistent approach.
  • Develop understanding of business goals and translate to system functionality.
  • Validate solution fit for business (UAT, defect reporting).
  • Lead documentation development for business policies and procedures (SOPs, workflows).
  • Proactively identify and evaluate risks impacting system performance.
  • Collaborate and consult with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead business in process implementation (UAT, systems testing, problem resolution, training input).
  • Maintain domain and industry expertise, identify improvement opportunities.
  • Execute documented business processes aligned to Conduct and Manage responsibilities.
  • Execute on moderate-high complex business requirements and configurations.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in a medium-to-large business environment.
  • Post-secondary diploma/degree in information systems or business administration.
  • Understanding business assessment and requirements analysis.
  • Knowledge of technology practices and business approaches.
  • Proficient with MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical, communication, teamwork, organization, time management, attention to detail.
  • Ability to negotiate and influence effectively.
  • Strong strategic and critical thinker.

  • AGCO Category 1 Gaming Assistant Registration.

We are ready to take this game to the next level and need a passionate Sr Business Systems Specialist. Responsible for ensuring daily tasks are organized and essential quality standards are aligned to the departments conduct and manage responsibilities and developing a deep understanding of current business processes, collaborating with stakeholders on continuous improvement initiatives.

YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME

Reporting to the Sr Manager LBG Systems & Product, you will be empowered to:

  • Leads business task completion to ensure a consistent approach is being applied.
  • Develops a thorough understanding of business goals, outcomes, practices and processes to translate them into system functionality
  • Validation of solution fit for business (e.g. user acceptance testing, defect & issue reporting)
  • Leads development of documentation for new and modified business policies and procedures (e.g. standard operating procedures (SOPs) and workflows) to ensure effective implementation of technology solutions to provide consistent quality of outputs
  • Proactively identifies and evaluates risks impacting system performance and functionality, ensuring continuity and reliability of business-critical processes through effective mitigation strategies
  • Collaborates and consults with internal and external stakeholders to meet the business objectives and timelines
  • Leads the business in process implementation, including:
  • identify possible use cases for user acceptance testing, systems testing and identifying gaps
  • providing recommendations for problem resolution and clarifying range of functions and
  • providing input or validation of the end business user training materials and knowledge transfer documentation to ensure successful transition to business as usual
  • Maintains domain and industry expertise and proactively identifies opportunities for streamlining business requirements, processes and workflows through continuous improvement to better serve the business
  • Executes documented business processes aligned to the Conduct and Manage responsibilities of the department
  • Executes on moderate-high complex business requirements and configurations
  • Performs additional tasks and responsibilities as required to support evolving business needs and ensure operational excellence.

WHAT YOU NEED TO PLAY

Work Experience: 3+ years of relevant experience in a medium-to-large business environment; flexibility to work occasional weekends on a rotation basis; Gaming experience and/or knowledge of Gaming Management Systems (GMS) is an asset.

Knowledge and Education: post-secondary diploma/degree in information systems, or business administration or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Understanding business assessment and requirements analysis; knowledge of technology practices and business approaches; proficient with MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook etc.
