Identity Security Cloud is SailPoint’s Identity as a Service (IDaaS) product, and the Staff DevOps Engineer will be a key player on the Platform team servicing the product suite. They will proactively work with Engineering, Product, Services, and other functional departments to implement and support the infrastructure to build, test, and deploy a global, customer-facing SaaS product suite. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who enjoys a fast-paced job, thrives on problem solving, and is committed to delivering seamless product availability to large enterprises around the world. This role is dedicated to a team focused on CI/CD practices and is tasked to make software delivery amazing for our customers, which are primarily developers and product owners. The team works within the Developer Platform group to provide automation, systems, frameworks, and processes to deliver software quickly, safely, and secure. We also serve as the steward of the SDLC policy to guarantee our build, test, and delivery methods can withstand the audit cycle. You’ll support hundreds of developers, from very mature SaaS to greenfield acquisitions and integrations. You’ll work in a fast paced environment with the smartest engineers and you’ll be part of a thriving and respectful culture that is truly a great place to work.
Must have:
  • Build and maintain a resilient, secure, and efficient CI/CD platform as code to meet established SLAs
  • Implement CI/CD for infrastructure as code (IaC) and cloud infrastructure.
  • Automate deployment, monitoring, management and incident response
  • Monitor CI/CD system stability and performance and troubleshoot operational issues
  • Managing the workflows to integrate developer maintained, automated testing into the CI/CD process
  • Manage cross-functional requirements working with Engineering, Product, Services, and other departments. Drive best practice and documented standards for the organization.
  • Develop and improve operational practices and procedures
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest CI/CD trends and technologies
  • Proactively meet standards for information security and compliance, such as ISO, SOX, SSAE 16, etc.
Good to have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other technical discipline, or equivalent experience is preferred, not required

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain a resilient, secure, and efficient CI/CD platform as code to meet established SLAs
  • Implement CI/CD for infrastructure as code (IaC) and cloud infrastructure.
  • Automate deployment, monitoring, management and incident response
  • Monitor CI/CD system stability and performance and troubleshoot operational issues
  • Managing the workflows to integrate developer maintained, automated testing into the CI/CD process

Background & Experience:

  • Experience in 24x7 production operations, preferably supporting a highly available environment for a SaaS or cloud service provider
  • 3+ years Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure environments
  • 3+ years Experience with Kubernetes
  • Experience with build and release tools such as Jenkins, Github Actions, ArgoCD, etc.
  • System administration, system configuration, and system debugging experience
  • Experience with multiple software languages (Python, Groovy, GO, etc)
  • Strong understanding of system and networking concepts and troubleshooting techniques
  • Strong interpersonal and teaming skills - ability to set and enforce process and influence engineers who are not direct reports.
  • Ability to operate in an agile, entrepreneurial start-up environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other technical discipline, or equivalent experience is preferred, not required
