Job Description

Optiv Security Operations is seeking a Sr. Privileged Access Management security engineer with expertise in CyberArk platforms and their associated back-end technology stacks. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, administering, and supporting privileged access and identity governance solutions for Optiv’s clients, ensuring adherence to established SLA/OLA guidelines. Key responsibilities include serving as a primary technical responder for incidents and requests, performing discovery audits, developing certification and compliance campaigns, troubleshooting issues, documenting resolutions, and performing routine system maintenance and patching.
Good To Have:
  • Remain current on all CyberArk and PAM market related trends, tools, and methodologies.
  • MCSE certification
  • MS Azure certifications
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g. CISSP, CEH, CHFI, SSCP, CCSP, etc).
  • ITIL certifications
  • Prior experience or familiarity with a NOC/SOC-type working environment.
  • Additional experience or familiarity with BeyondTrust.
Must Have:
  • Serve as a primary technical responder for incidents and requests pertaining to CyberArk.
  • Perform discovery audits and work with clients to develop certification and compliance campaigns and reporting.
  • Collect logs, analyze failure situations, troubleshoot issues, and implement known solutions while maintaining established OLAs/SLAs.
  • Document incident resolutions, RCA/RFOs, and SOPs, design specifications, and reference architectures as needed.
  • Perform routine changes and maintenance including hotfix and security patching, device reboots, and configuration backups.
  • 3-5 years’ experience implementing, administering, and supporting privileged access management technologies (preferably CyberArk).
  • Proficiency in CyberArk and related technologies, including system administration, scripting (JavaScript, Python), Rest API, LDAP directories, Active Directory.
  • 3-5 years’ experience administering Active Directory objects, architecture, and back-end infrastructure.
  • 2-4 years’ experience remotely administering both Windows Server OS and Unix/Linux-based systems from a command line interface.
  • Must possess CyberArk Engineer CDE for on Premise or Cloud certifications on hire.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Serve as a primary technical responder for incidents and requests pertaining to various technologies including, but not limited to CyberArk.
  • Perform discovery audits and work with clients to develop certification and compliance campaigns and reporting.
  • Collect logs, analyze failure situations, troubleshoot issues, and implement known solutions while maintaining established OLAs/SLAs.
  • Document incident resolutions, RCA/RFOs, and SOPs, design specifications, and reference architectures as needed.
  • Perform routine changes and maintenance including hotfix and security patching, device reboots, and configuration backups.

What we’re looking for

  • Strong troubleshooting and issue isolation skills
  • 3-5 years’ experience implementing, administering, and support privileged access management technologies and related infrastructure (preferably CyberArk)
  • Ideal candidate will remain current on all CyberArk and PAM market related trends, tools, and methodologies
  • 3-5 years’ experience Proficiency in CyberArk and related technologies. Experience in system administration, scripting (JavaScript, Python), Rest API, LDAP directories, Active Directory
  • Familiarity with Privileged Access Management architecture
  • 3-5 years’ experience administering Active Directory objects, architecture, and back-end infrastructure.
  • 2-4 years’ experience remotely administering both Windows Server OS and Unix/Linux-based systems from a command line interface (MCSE and/or MS Azure certifications a plus)
  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools and analyzing data (Analyzing Error Logs)
  • Familiarity with applicable scripting languages (Postman, Powershell, Beanshell, Javascript, Python, etc)
  • Must possess CyberArk Engineer CDE for on Premise or Cloud certifications on hire
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Relevant industry certifications highly desired (e.g. CISSP, CEH, CHFI, SSCP, CCSP, etc)
  • Familiarity with ITIL , SDLC, and DevOps procedures and best practices (ITIL certifications a plus)
  • Prior experience or familiarity with a NOC/SOC-type working environment highly desired.
  • Additional experience or familiarity with BeyondTrust highly desired.
