Sr. Manager, Accounting Controls & Compliance

Would you like to use your Finance experience in a highly visible role to make a difference? We are looking for a Sr. Manager, Accounting Controls & Compliance to join our Corporate Finance team! In this role, you will be responsible for leading the global controls and compliance function, overseeing the SOX control framework, supporting the business technical accounting and continuous improvement opportunities, and monitoring various aspects of the global governance structure. Reporting to the Assistant Corporate Controller, the Sr. Manager, Internal Controls & Compliance, leads establishing and maintaining the organization's control environment, processes and policies.  This is a hybrid role and requires the ability to work on site 3 days per week.

A day in the life of the Sr. Manager, Accounting Controls & Compliance: 

• Lead the global accounting organizations controls and compliance environment. 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand control processes and identify risks, gaps and remediation strategies, including but not limited to process enhancements, system implementations, etc. 

• Understand new accounting standards, and in partnership with the Technical Accounting team, assess the control implications, if any, to the company, and support the business adoption as appropriate. 

• Provide overall support and analysis to executive management by investigating accounting questions, issues, and judgments and by partnering with team members from other business divisions to assist with accounting questions. 

• Build relationships and regular communication with operational leaders to provide direct and timely assistance on matters that have accounting implications. 

• Monitor compliance dashboards and communicate status, risks and opportunities to the Controllership organization leaders. 

What you’ll bring: 

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in Accounting and Finance roles of increasing responsibility. 

• Minimum of 3 years of public accounting experience required (Big 4 experience preferred). 

• Must possess a deep technical knowledge of US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is considered a plus. 

• Proven experience in internal control risk assessments and analysis.  

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a Certified Public Accountant designation.

• Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and meet deadlines. 

• Demonstrated success in the development of staff and others toward improved skills, independence, and self-initiative. 

• Ability to earn trust and credibility within the organization, and capable of developing effective business relationships with all members of the global accounting organization leadership team.  

• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to make sound business decisions.
