Job Summary:

The role of Strategic Product Growth Manager is to act as the commercial arm of the Product team working in close partnership with sales teams and our key merchants in the region, to promote our latest solutions across the whole PayPal suite of products and solutions.

Job Description:

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Drives product strategy with cross-functional stakeholders consistent with the shared vision for the product.
  • Plans and implements the architectural roadmap that balances innovative design and technical implementation, while balancing regulatory requirements, time-to-market, meeting customer needs and product profitability.
  • Assesses the customer experience and customer needs in product requirements and decision making.
  • Sets up data gathering mechanisms relative to the metrics that inform the success of products including usability studies, research and market analysis.
  • Leads workstreams to include analytics, customer discovery, market research and competitive analysis to drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Oversees product profitability measures, including budget.
  • Plans operational mechanisms that drive execution and accountability including Product Reviews, Operating Reviews, and Business Reviews. Interfaces with product leadership as needed.
  • Partners with content strategists, data scientists, product designers and user experience researchers.
  • Maximizes efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the standard.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 12 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Previous management experience

  • This position is part of a team of payments experts who are responsible for making sure we deliver payment excellence for our enterprise merchant offering.
  • Global role – interfacing with PayPal org/offices/teams and our clients and partners.
  • Evangelize - Serve as a thought leader for enterprise merchants (merchant communication, conferences, partners, webinars etc.).
  • Client aptitude - Direct involvement with global and large enterprise clients on an ongoing basis. Sales teams support and expert advice on strategic solutions with Large Enterprise Merchants in Europe, Middle-East Africa, LATAM or APAC
  • Distill the complex - Key contributor for training and education in areas such as payments and broader commerce ecosystem for rest of organization.
  • A connector - Partner with Product and Engineering, Finance, Support, Global Sales, Compliance, Legal, Professional Services, and Account Management, as well as leveraging external partnerships that are built over time, to deliver for our business.

In your day-to-day role you will:

  • Work on key strategic initiatives and ensure Sales and Accounts win/expand their PayPal footprint on a global level.
  • Develop Partnerships on new markets, platform solutions, and payment processing across the world as required to fill Platform needs.
  • Contribute with Product teams and Influence the Platform’s product roadmap(s) to meet the need of your strategic merchants.
  • Identify areas of opportunity that map well to our Product strategy and deliver growth plans to capture the new opportunities.
  • Ensure PayPal is seen as a thought leader in enabling global payments for large enterprises and strategic accounts.
  • “Harden” the systems we employ for the broader organization across a number of areas such as Regulations, compliance, Legal, Scheme rules, Sales motions, and Upselling.

What you need to bring is:

At least 12 years of experience in the payments industry, ideally on-line and in large enterprise, card and payment processing, agentic commerce in EMEA and across the globe.

At least 5 years experience in business to business sales and/or relationship building and business development

Experience identifying, developing, and contracting Partner relationships for Enterprise

Experience working with the processing and payout needs of Enterprise merchants and marketplaces would be a plus

Experience in payment orchestration would be appreciated

Advanced and eloquent communicator, able to speak to Product, Engineering, and Clients

Experience with B2B and Product software, including: Powerpoint, Salesforce, Jira, Sharepoint, etc.

Bachelors Degree required, advanced degree preferred

Fluency in English required, other languages appreciated
