Coupa is seeking a Sr. Pre Sales Solution Consultant to join their team, focusing on the East Coast. This role involves providing technical and functional expertise during the sales process, demonstrating Coupa's value, and supporting revenue goals. The consultant will work with sales managers, deliver presentations, assist with RFPs, and contribute to the creation of sales materials. The position requires a strong understanding of Coupa's products and the ability to articulate their architecture and integration to prospects.
Must have:
  • Provide technical and functional expertise during the sales process
  • Demonstrate how Coupa meets business needs with measurable value
  • Provide strong technical understanding of products, architecture, and integration
  • Perform platform demonstrations, RFP assistance, IT workshops, training, presentations
  • Act as a subject matter expert providing sales insights
  • Manage accounts with 50-75% travel
  • Collaborate to share and scale knowledge across the organization
  • 5+ years experience in systems applications selling or implementation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience configuring and delivering software demonstrations
  • Detailed knowledge of at least one area of spend management
  • Hands-on experience with application configuration or customization
  • Ability to lead discovery sessions with prospects

  • Source-to-Pay or eProcurement experience

The Impact of a Sr. Solution Advisor at Coupa:

The Senior Solutions Consultant is a lead functional business partner of Sales Managers. The Senior Solutions Consultant supports Coupa’s business and revenue goals by providing high-quality business and functional presentations and demonstrations. They will also work across Coupa’s operations to drive the creation and maintenance of field-related material to be used in the sales process to use technology as a differentiator for Coupa in the market.

What You'll Do:

  • Providing technical and functional expertise during the sales process.
  • Demonstrate how Coupa can meet and exceed the business need of our prospects with clear focus on measurable value.
  • Provide strong technical understanding of our products with the ability to discuss and demonstrate architecture and integration.
  • Platform Demonstrations, RFP assistance, IT Workshops, Training, Presentations, and Document Creation.
  • Subject matter expert that can provide valuable sales insights to their salespeople and prospects.
  • Managing accounts where 50-75% of your time may include travel.
  • Help to grow Coupa as the leader in the Business Spend Management space.
  • Collaborate as a team to share and scale knowledge across the broader organization.

What You Will Bring to Coupa:

  • 5+ years experience in systems applications selling or implementation
  • Source-to-Pay or eProcurement experience is desired; Expense Management experience is a plus
  • Experience with Software as a Service is a plus as is any experience with financial accounting, customer management, and sales force automation software
  • Previous solution consulting experience with the following applications is a solid predictor of success: Ariba, Ivalua, Concur, NetSuite, Great Plains, Oracle, SAP
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience configuring and delivering software demonstrations
  • Deliver high-quality and compelling presentations and demonstrations focused on customer requirements to key decision makers and influencers.
  • Demonstrate a detailed knowledge of at least one area of spend management.
  • Hands-on experience with application configuration or customization. Effectively communicate through oral and written communications to both technical and business audiences.
  • Ability to lead discovery sessions with prospects to map customer requirements to application functionality.
  • Track record of sharing and publishing knowledge and/or mentoring peers.

The estimated pay range for this role is Base range of $135,000 - 165,000 + eligibility for commission with an estimated pay mix of 70/30

The starting salary for the successful candidate will be based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
