Sr. QA Manual Engineer

As a Sr. QA Manual Engineer at SuperPlay, you will be responsible for testing, reviewing, and analyzing game behavior from functional and technical perspectives, ensuring data validation and internal logic alongside visual features. You will develop comprehensive test plans, create readable test cases for new features, and actively participate in sprint planning by providing time estimates and documentation. Additionally, you will maintain product quality by monitoring the bug database, submitting and regressing issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure features align with the product plan. Proactive feedback on mocks and designs is also expected.

Must Have

• At least 3 years of experience in game testing
• Strong familiarity with game development flows
• Ability to learn evolving technologies
• Technical aptitude to analyze issues beyond the surface layer (event triggers, analytics, logs)
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment alongside multiple teams
• Knack for writing clean and readable test cases
• Excellent English language skills
• Passion for video games and willingness to share feedback

What will you do at SuperPlay?

As a Sr. QA Manual Engineer, you will:

• Test, review, and analyze the game's behavior from all functional and technical perspectives, ensuring validation of data events, configurations, and internal logic alongside visual features.
• Develop comprehensive test plans and create clean, readable test cases for new features, ensuring all areas of the game are covered as evolving standards require.
• Participate actively in sprint planning by giving time estimates based on Product requirements and creating documentation hand-offs for upcoming features.
• Maintain the quality of the product by monitoring the bug database, submitting and regressing issues, and ensuring all defect details are documented and accessible.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the development lifecycle, keeping in touch with Product to ensure features align with the plan.
• Provide proactive feedback on mocks and designs, raising a flag if a feature seems to be taking a wrong turn or deviating from the intended vision.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in game testing, with a strong familiarity with game development flows and the ability to learn evolving technologies.
• Technical aptitude to analyze issues beyond the surface layer, such as verifying event triggers, analytics or reading logs, rather than just visual testing.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment alongside multiple teams, with a knack for writing clean and readable test cases.
• Excellent English language skills to facilitate clear communication and documentation.
• A passion for video games and a willingness to state your opinion and share feedback to ensure the highest quality product.
