This position s primary responsibility will be to help HCL with strategy definition, value realization, implementation, and operations. The chosen candidate will play an important role in the development of skills, best practices and provide value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree or equivalent required from an accredited institution.
At least 10 to 15 years of experience in Information Technology
At least 8 years of experience in Planning, installing, configuring, supporting, knowledge of UNIX/Linux systems running on Hybrid/Cloud DC environment
At least 2-3 years experience in managing team of experts having UNIX/LInux skills
Candidate must have Experience on 2 or more technologies (including relevant clustering technologies) from following: -
o Linux (RHEL, SUSE, UBUNTU etc)
o HPUX
o Solaris
o AIX
Work closely with other members of the IT team to identify and resolve issues related to availability or performance
Person should have a good knowledge on X86 hardware plateforms (CISCO/DELL/HPE) Rack and Blade Servers
Strong knowledge on core services like LDAP, NTP, NFS, Storage and network.
Must have experience in planning and execute upgrades, updates, patching and migrations
Monitor infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and identify opportunities for improvement

o Good documentation skills
o Skilled in using Automation tools to automate day0, day1 and day2 tasks
o Good knowledge on ITSM/ITIL processes and data centre best practices.
