Sr. Systems Engineer

Essential Functions

•    Lead development, documentation, and operationalization of system processes to enhance service delivery outcomes across the organization

•    Responsible for high availability, performance monitoring and capacity planning

•    Create tooling and automation to continuously improve operational reliability processes

•    Participate in incidents, change controls and problem management

•    Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Linux systems and cloud native technologies.

Education, Experience, and Skills

•    Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience related to Information Technology

•    7+ years' experience as a Senior Systems Engineer

•    Experience in the design and deployment of Public Cloud technologies (AWS, Google, etc.)

•    Expertise in Linux operating systems (Ubuntu a plus)

•    Experience in VMWARE virtualization technologies

•    Proficient and self-reliant in at least one scripting (Bash a plus) or programming language (Python a plus)

•    Deep experience with infrastructure automation technologies such as Slack, Puppet or Ansible

•    Hands-on experience with core internet protocols such as HTTP, SSL, SMTP, DNS, LDAP, NTP

•    Familiar with mission-critical NoSQL systems like Redis, MongoDB, Memcached, etc.

•    Familiar with monitoring systems like M/Monit, Grafana, Kibana and Munin.

•    Familiar with Big Data technologies like Hadoop, ElasticSearch,  etc.

•    Familiar with Queuing and Messaging systems like RabbitMQ, Redis Queue and Kafka.

•    Self-reliant and able to troubleshoot any problem
