SSE- DevOps

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team supporting a key Telstra initiative. This role demands a strong background in CI/CD tools, containerization, cloud platforms, and infrastructure automation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing and optimizing DevOps pipelines and environments at scale, with a passion for automation, efficiency, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, and Bamboo.
• Build and maintain container images using Docker, Kaniko, and Buildah.
• Manage and orchestrate containers using Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, Rancher, and EKS.
• Operate and support multi-cloud environments including AWS, Azure, and PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry).
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Ansible, Chef, and Puppet.
• Troubleshoot and optimize GitLab environments and pipelines, ensuring system reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure best practices and compliance in deployment processes.
• Contribute to system architecture, security design, and performance tuning.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 8+ years of experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab, Jenkins, Bamboo).
• 5+ years of experience with container build tools (Docker, Kaniko, Buildah).
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, Rancher, EKS).
• 3+ years of experience with cloud platforms (AWS, PCF, Azure).
• 3+ years working with infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
• Strong experience in GitLab operations and CI/CD pipeline debugging.
• Excellent scripting and automation skills (e.g., Bash, Python, Shell).
• Good understanding of DevSecOps principles and practices.
