Job Description

As a Staff Camera SW Customer Engineer at Qualcomm, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise for software systems. This includes delivering technical presentations, supporting business development, demonstrating products, designing and developing customer-specific requirements, commercialization, and maintaining Qualcomm products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers to resolve issues, debug, and troubleshoot software systems. Additionally, you will work on advanced ISP and camera features, support design wins, provide on-site support, identify and fix camera software problems, help customers develop camera software, track and mitigate risks, and provide training.
Must have:
  • Be good at Linux C/C++.
  • Be good at embedded development and debugging.
  • Familiar with camera system pipeline and image processing.
  • Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to learn new technology quickly with high motivation.
  • Bachelor or above in Computer Science or related technology majors.
Good to have:
  • Prior camera software-related experiences on Qualcomm or other mobile platforms.
  • Experiences of CamX, V4L2, RTOS, Android framework.

Qualcomm Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers to address questions, issues, debugging, or troubleshooting regarding software systems and applications.

Job Overview

  • Opportunities to work on the most advanced ISP and camera features & technology.
  • Support design wins from Qualcomm mobile customers.
  • Provide instructions and on-site support for customers to resolve QCamera issues promptly.
  • Identify camera software problems reported by customers, report Qualcomm bugs and work with the development team until the root cause is found and issues are fixed.
  • Help customer to develop, customize camera software/functions according to the project plan.
  • Be responsible for the assigned accounts and project, and track and mitigate gaps and risks on camera software and features.
  • Provide training to customers for Qualcomm new platform.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Be good at Linux C/C++.
  • Be good at embedded development and debugging.
  • Familiar with camera system pipeline and image processing.

  • The ability to learn new technology quickly with high motivation and work under high pressure.
  • Bachelor or above in Computer Science or related technology majors.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior camera software-related experiences on Qualcomm or other mobile platforms are preferred.
  • Experiences of CamX, V4L2, RTOS, Android framework are preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.

• 2+ years of experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
• 1+ year of experience with debugging techniques.
