Job Description

SirenOpt provides metrology and manufacturing intelligence solutions for advanced coatings, thin films, and nano-scale materials, accelerating sustainable and smart manufacturing across various industries. They are pioneering a shift in material characterization using cold atmospheric plasma, machine learning, and predictive analytics to create real-time material fingerprints. The Staff Electrical Engineer will be an early-stage team member, making a significant impact on next-generation technologies by contributing to the electrical design and validation of plasma-based metrology systems, solving technical challenges creatively, and collaborating with cross-functional teams and clients.
Good To Have:
  • Experience with regulatory compliance (CE, UL, etc.).
  • Prior exposure to high-precision, high-throughput industrial designs for material handling, metrology, and/or process automation applications.
  • Experience with metrology equipment and sensors, particularly for advanced materials.
  • Experience in developing and optimizing prototypes and embedded PCBs.
  • FPGA design with VHDL/Verilog for signal/image processing in real-time data acquisition.
Must Have:
  • Heavily contribute to electrical design and validation of cold atmospheric plasma-based metrology systems.
  • Interface with cross-functional project teams to research, develop, and validate new concepts for low-temperature plasma-based metrology.
  • Closely interact with clients to iterate on design based on feedback, focusing on integration speed.
  • Create and maintain technical design documentation (requirements, wiring diagrams, schematics, test reports).
  • B.S./M.S./PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of electrical design experience.
  • Vast experience with High Voltage PCB designs (above 5kv) from electron optic or electron beam companies.
  • Experience with Full PCB design cycle: concept, schematics, layout, manufacturing, bring-up, testing, SW/HW integration.
  • Experience with mix-signal PCB designs including analog, digital, and high voltage components.
  • Experience with DfX processes (SRD, CDR, DDR, etc.).
  • Experience working in a multidiscipline environment, collaborating with Project, system, SW, Mechanic, and Algo engineers.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technical challenges and work in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Electrical Engineer. As an early-stage member of the SirenOpt team, you will be able to make a real impact on next-generation technologies. In this role you will:

Base Pay Range

$135,000 - $165,000 USD
