Job Summary

Marvell is seeking a Staff Failure Analysis Engineer for its Singapore-based IC failure analysis team. This role involves owning the entire FA process for customer returns and internal product development, from ATE and system/bench testing to fault isolation and physical FA, and generating 8D reports. The engineer will manage external physical FA labs and communicate FA reports to customers, requiring a strong understanding of FA processes, IC fab, package assembly, ATE, and bench testing.

Must Have

  • Own failure analysis for customer returns and internal product development support.
  • Manage entire FA process, from ATE and system/bench testing to fault isolation and physical FA.
  • Generate 8D report for customer.
  • Ensure internal partners are fully aware of FA thoroughness and expected Turn Around Time (TAT).
  • Effectively manage external physical FA labs to deliver PFA results.
  • Work closely with CQEs to communicate FA report to customers.
  • IC FA knowledge: Electrical Failure Analysis (EFA), Physical Failure Analysis (PFA).
  • 8D problem solving expertise.
  • Min 3 years hands-on in failure analysis laboratory.
  • 10 years working experience in the semiconductor industry.
  • Broad understanding of the IC fab and packaging processes, product, and testing.

  • Past experience working with 3rd party physical FA lab.

Marvell is looking for failure analysis engineer in our Singapore based IC failure analysis team. This position will cover IC products for one or more products lines. The position requires understanding of FA process and knowledge of IC fab process, package assembly process, ATE testing, bench testing.

What You Can Expect

  • Own failure analysis for both customer returns and internal product development support.
  • Manage entire FA process, from ATE and system/bench testing to fault isolation and physical FA, and to generate 8D report for customer.
  • Ensure internal partners are fully aware of the thoroughness of an FA and the expected Turn Around Time (TAT).
  • Effectively manage external physical FA labs to deliver PFA results to meet Marvell s quality and TAT expectations.
  • Work closely with CQEs to communicate FA report to customers.

What We're Looking For

  • IC FA knowledge: Electrical Failure Analysis (EFA), Physical Failure Analysis (PFA)
  • 8D problem solving expertise
  • Demonstrated good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong social skills, specifically a demonstrated ability to effectively work with cross-function teams
  • BS engineering degree. EE and advanced degree preferred.
  • Min 3 years hands-on in failure analysis laboratory and 10 years working experience in the semiconductor industry.
  • Broad understanding of the IC fab and packaging processes, product, and testing.
  • Past experience working with 3rd party physical FA lab is desired
