Job Summary

As an Analog IC Design Principal Engineer, you will join the Central Engineering business group, focusing on cutting-edge ADC based SerDes IPs for high-speed connectivity. You will be responsible for architectural investigations and implementation of sophisticated CMOS transceiver/SERDES products, including circuits like PLL, DLL, ADC, regulators, amplifiers, TX, RX, and CDRs. This role involves design verification, layout activities, lab characterization, and supporting customers and FAEs.

Must Have

  • Strong knowledge of deep sub-micron CMOS technologies
  • Hands-on experience in designing mixed signal circuits (ADCs, DACs, RX, TX, PLLs, Filters, Bandgap bias circuits, regulators, analog circuits)
  • Knowledge of low power and high speed design techniques
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong knowledge of IC design CAD tools (Spectre, Spice, Matlab, Hsim, Verilog)
  • Lab testing skills for prototype evaluation

Job Description

Your Team, Your Impact

As an Analog IC Design Principal Engineer with Marvell, you’ll be a member of the Central Engineering business group. If you picture Marvell as a wheel, Our team is an experienced group of analog and mixed signal engineers that work on ADC based analog fronts and provide stand alone IPs that cover multiple applications in support of all business units. We are currently focused on the development of cutting edge ADC based SerDes IPs for high speed connectivity.

What You Can Expect

Seeking a Mixed Signal designer to be part of a key team designing highly sophisticated CMOS transceiver/SERDES products. Responsibilities would span architectural investigations and implementation for circuits such as PLL, DLL, ADC, regulators, amplifiers, TX, RX, CDRs etc. to meet key performance targets and performing design verification using industry standard tools such as SPICE, Spectre, MATLAB etc.

Should be comfortable carrying out layout activities in nanometric technologies and be able to supervise physical design. Should be able to work in the lab independently or with test engineers to characterize, debug and validate designs. Would be required to generate design related documents, application specifications etc. and may support customers and FAEs as needed. May be required to interface with digital and SOC teams to facilitate design integration and cross-functional verifications.

What We're Looking For

Requirements

  • Master’s degree and/or PhD in Electrical Engineering with 2-3 years of experience.
  • Strong knowledge on the deep sub-micron CMOS technologies.
  • Hands-on experience in designing mixed signal circuits including ADCs, DACs, RX, TX, PLLs, Filters, Bandgap bias circuits, regulators, and other analog circuits.
  • High-speed ADC design experience preferred.
  • Knowledge and Experience on low power and high speed design techniques.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills are essential.
  • Strong knowledge on IC design CAD tools such as Spectre, Spice, Matlab, Hsim, Verilog, etc.
  • Lab testing skills to evaluate the prototype unit to the design specification.

Expected Base Pay Range (CAD)

144,900 - 193,200, $ per annum
