Application Engineer - digital implementation

This Application Engineer role at Cadence involves providing technical support for digital IC design implementation, product demonstrations, and sales presentations. The position requires hands-on expertise in RTL-to-GDSII design methodology, including low power and high-performance designs. Key responsibilities include real design experience in floorplan, place, CTS, route, STA timing closure, physical verification, RC extraction, and power network analysis. The role also assists in technical evaluation of concurrent mixed-signal designs.

Must Have

• Provide key technical support in digital IC design implementation, product demonstration, and sales presentations.
• Demonstrate strong ability and hands-on experience in RTL-to-GDSII design methodology.
• Possess real design experience including floorplan, partition, place, CTS, route, STA timing closure, physical verification, RC extraction, and Power Network analysis.
• Assist in technical evaluation, assessment, and delivery of concurrent mixed-signal design.
• Ability to understand and articulate technical issues, design products, and their applications.
• Working knowledge of one or more programming languages.
• Familiarity with shell/Perl/Tcl/Python script languages.

Good to Have

• Synthesis experience.
• MS degree and/or working experience in multi-nation IC design house.
• Familiarity with EDI/Innovus product.
• Knowledge of ML/AI.

Position Requirements:

• Ability to understand and articulate technical issues, (and knowledge of) design products and their applications.
• Requires working knowledge of one or more programming languages, and effective communication and soft skills.
• An MS degree and/or working experience in multi-nation IC design house/or familiar with EDI/Innovus product, ML/AI is a plus.
• Good communication in English and good work attitude.
• Be familiar with shell/Perl/Tcl/Python etc. script language.
