What you'll do...

About the Team

The Last Mile Delivery (LMD) Trip Experience team makes sure every order — fulfilled in and delivered from Walmart stores — reaches customers on time and with a smooth, effortless experience from start to finish. We make the process efficient and rewarding for the Spark Drivers and other partners who power Walmart’s delivery network. Our platforms and tools coordinate millions of these store-fulfilled deliveries every week across thousands of pickup points, spanning express, scheduled, and same-day fulfillment.

This role sits within the Arrivals Domain (Spark Driver Arrival at Store), which focuses on the critical stage between a driver accepting an order and successfully picking it up at the store. Our products shape how drivers are detected when arriving, how parking lot flow is managed, how store associates prepare for and respond to incoming drivers, and the in-app experience drivers have within the Spark Driver app upon arrival — including check-in, chain-of-custody actions, guidance, timing, and status updates to ensure a smooth and predictable pickup process.

By reducing wait times, improving predictability, and preventing errors or misalignments, we ensure every arrival is timely, smooth, and sets drivers up for their next trip with minimal friction.

We operate at the intersection of e-commerce, logistics, and gig work, balancing customer expectations, driver earnings, and store operations. Success in this space requires creativity, analytical rigor, and a deep commitment to delivering great experiences at scale.

In this role you will…

  • Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the driver arrival and pickup experience — ensuring it aligns with Walmart’s Last Mile Delivery goals.
  • Lead the full product lifecycle, from discovery and requirements definition to launch, iteration, and scaling.
  • Translate strategy into clear, actionable requirements and partner closely with engineering, design, analytics, and operations to deliver high-impact solutions.
  • Define and track success metrics, using data, research, and market insights to guide decisions and validate results.
  • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders across Walmart to align priorities, secure buy-in, and deliver outcomes that balance the needs of drivers, customers, and store operations at scale.

You’ll sweep us off our feet if…

  • Bring a strong product management toolkit, from setting vision and strategy to driving execution and measuring impact across the full product lifecycle.
  • Thrive in complex, high-scale environments where balancing multiple user needs — drivers, customers, and store associates — is the norm.
  • Are customer-obsessed and work backward from real needs to create simple, effective solutions that improve both operational efficiency and user experience.
  • Combine strategic thinking with a bias for action — adapting quickly, creating structure amidst ambiguity, and making smart trade-offs to deliver results.
  • Communicate clearly and influence effectively, building alignment across diverse stakeholders in a matrixed organization.
  • Are scrappy but never sacrifice quality, embracing a test-and-learn mindset to experiment, iterate, and continuously improve.
  • Understand the nuances of bridging digital and physical experiences, ensuring the Spark Driver app, arrival detection systems, parking lot flow, check-in process, and chain-of-custody actions work seamlessly together for a predictable, high-quality pickup experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing high-scale, multi-user products — ideally involving both customer-facing and partner-facing elements, where balancing diverse user needs is critical to success.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using data to guide decisions — comfortable interpreting behavioral data, running experiments, and using insights to inform prioritization and measure outcomes.
  • Proven ability to write clear, concise product requirements that can be understood by both technical and non-technical stakeholders, enabling alignment across engineering, operations, and design teams.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills — able to influence stakeholders, build consensus, and advocate for user and business needs in a large, matrixed organization.
  • Comfortable partnering with data science teams to design, evaluate, and iterate on ML-powered features that improve predictions, recommendations, or operational outcomes.
  • Experience in product management for products that bridge the digital and physical worlds — where software and real-world operations must work seamlessly together to deliver an optimal user experience.
  • Experience in complex, real-time operational contexts such as last-mile delivery, transportation tech, or other marketplaces is a plus — especially where timing, coordination, and fairness are key to the user experience.
  • Experience designing for accessibility and inclusive user experiences — familiarity with accessibility standards and best practices is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field and 7+ years of product management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
