Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Static Equipment Design Engineer with 5–10 years of experience in the design and analysis of static equipment, piping systems, and steel structures. The ideal candidate will perform end-to-end mechanical design calculations, ensure compliance with international codes and client specifications, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering packages.

Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret client specifications, technical standards, and international codes related to static equipment, piping, and steel structures.
- Perform strength and design calculations for pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, and columns using COMPRESS and PV-Elite (ASME Section VIII Div. 1).
- Conduct analysis for self-supported stacks in accordance with ASME STS-1, IS 6533, and CICIND, including wind load and lifting calculations.
- Design supporting structures such as platforms, piping racks, modular skids, equipment foundations, and access structures using STAAD.Pro.
- Carry out piping stress analysis using CAESAR II (ASME B31.1 / B31.3), accounting for thermal expansion, vibration, seismic, wind, and support loads.
- Recommend design modifications and support locations to ensure system integrity.
- Work with drafting and design teams to produce GA drawings, fabrication details, and 3D models.
- Participate in 3D model reviews and provide inputs to optimize layouts for safety and maintainability.
- Liaise with clients, internal stakeholders, vendors, and inspection agencies for technical discussions.
- Review vendor documents, provide guidance, and ensure alignment with design intent.
- Support proposals by delivering preliminary design inputs, estimation data, and scope definition for bids.
- Assist project managers in ensuring timely delivery of engineering deliverables.
- Contribute to technical risk assessments, design reviews, and value engineering initiatives.
Candidate Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
- 5–10 years of hands-on experience in the design of static equipment, piping systems, and steel structures.
- Prior experience in EPC or consulting environments in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Fertilizers, or Power Plants preferred.
Software Proficiency:
- Essential: COMPRESS, PV-Elite, CAESAR II, STAAD.Pro, AutoCAD/Plant 3D
- Desirable: Ansys, NozzlePRO, Mecastack, Navisworks
Technical Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of international codes: ASME Section VIII, B31.1 / B31.3, API, IS, TEMA, EN
- Familiarity with fabrication standards, welding practices, inspection techniques, and material specifications
Soft Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
