Lead the team that ensures flawless broadcast operations as the Station Monitoring Manager in Clearwater, FL. This role involves overseeing critical support operations for high-quality broadcasts across the station group, driving excellence in monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include supervising a 24/7 help desk, managing support processes like monitoring, ticketing, and reporting, and overseeing operational workflows for CentralCast sites. The manager will also initiate escalations, communicate with Station and Network Operations, create detailed reports, recommend process improvements, collaborate with department heads, interpret and create standard operating procedures, and conduct training.
Must have:
  • 5+ years experience in broadcast engineering
  • Strong understanding of core IT technologies
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Ability to multitask and be detail oriented
  • Proficiency with MS Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Good to have:
  • BA/BS degree in engineering or related field
  • Television broadcast experience
  • Technical certifications
  • Experience with ITSM software
  • Data analysis skills and experience with SQL

Job Details

Lead the team that keeps our broadcasts running flawlessly! As Station Monitoring Manager at Scripps Networks in Clearwater, FL, you'll oversee critical support operations ensuring high-quality broadcasts across our station group. Your leadership will drive excellence in monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of our broadcast operations.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Supervise 24/7 help desk for station group

  • Manage all support processes including monitoring, ticketing and reporting

  • Manage operational workflows for all CentralCast sites

  • Initiate escalations of critical issues to Support Engineering team

  • Communicate and coordinate with Station Operations and Network Operations

  • Create detailed reports for various dashboards and presentations

  • Provide process and/or operational improvements and recommendations

  • Collaborate with department heads to improve workflows when possible

  • Interpret, create and follow standard operation procedures (SOPs)

  • Conduct training to new hires as well as periodic refreshers for existing team

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • BA/BS degree in engineering or related field preferred; or equivalent work experience

  • 5+ years experience in broadcast engineering

  • Television broadcast experience is highly desired, technical certifications preferred

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Strong understanding of core IT technologies

  • Experience with ITSM software (BMC Footprints a plus)A

  • Data analysis skills and experience with SQL a plus

  • Dependability and flexibility with job scheduling to cover shifts as needed

  • Excellent written and verbal skills

  • Ability to multitask and be detail oriented in a fast-paced environment

  • Proficiency with MS Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
