Guru Studio is seeking an experienced Storyboard Revisionist for a new CG shorts series. The role involves redrawing panels based on director's notes quickly and efficiently, following instructions, and communicating progress. The revisionist will ensure quality and style consistency, adhere to team processes and standards, manage documents, and meet deadlines. The studio is known for award-winning shows like PAW Patrol and offers a collaborative work environment, learning opportunities, and supports community initiatives. This is a remote position. Must have:
  • 2 years of experience as a revisionist for 3D animated works
  • Proficiency in Storyboard Pro
  • Excellent drawing and composition skills
  • Strong draftsmanship and mechanical skills

Job Details

Guru Studio is crewing up for an exciting new CG shorts series and we're looking for an experienced Storyboard Revisionist to help us bring this new world to life.

You’ll be joining a vibrant entertainment company known for creating, developing and producing award-winning, hit shows such as True and the Rainbow Kingdom for Netflix, the smash-hit PAW Patrol, Mattel’s Ever After High; and our own Emmy Award nominated series Justin Time. Our studio also contributed visual development on the Academy Award nominated animated feature The Breadwinner.

Responsibilities:

  • Redraw panels under director’s note quickly and efficiently
  • Follow instructions and address notes from supervisors
  • Communicate progress of work to director, assistant director and production team
  • Ensure quality and style of the show is consistently achieved in storyboard work
  • Adhere to storyboard team process and standards
  • Follow proper document management requirements (i.e., file naming and storage) according to the production’s guidelines
  • Meet all deadlines


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a revisionist for 3D animated works
  • Storyboard Pro
  • Previous storyboarding experience
  • Excellent drawing and composition skills
  • Strong draftsmanship and mechanical skills
  • Strong composition and staging skills
  • Solid knowledge of story, including language, acting and craft
  • Must be able to work fast and efficiently under tight deadlines
  • Demonstrate proficiency in style of show
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn applicable design software/hardware
  • Must be able to work digitally
