The Strategic Partner Account Manager is a pivotal position focused on increasing Wind River's market presence and revenue through System Integrators (SIs) and Solution Providers (SPs) in the automotive sector within the China region. This role requires a deep understanding of scaling software businesses through partners and involves expanding existing regional partner relationships and innovating to drive revenue and market scale. Responsibilities include leading strategic partnerships, engaging with customers, driving transformative changes, ensuring operational excellence, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet sales goals.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY 
The Strategic Partner Account Manager is a pivotal position aimed at enhancing Wind River’s market presence and revenue via System Integrators (SIs) and Solution Providers (SPs) with focus in automotive in the China region. This role is tailor-made for an individual with a deep understanding of how to scale a software business through SI and SP partners.  In partnership with the Global Alliance corporate team, this role will be responsible for both expanding existing relationships with regional partners and innovating and driving new opportunities for revenue and market scale within the region.  The ideal candidate is a technically oriented salesperson with a deep understanding of the automotive software lifecycle (including requirement, design, development, test, deployment etc.)  and a track record of operational and execution excellence.
 
Responsibilities 
  • Strategic Partnering Leadership: Spearhead the regional vision and engagement with key partners, identifying opportunities for growth and competitive differentiation.
  • Customer Engagement: Engage deeply with regional Wind River Account Managers and drive partner engagement and collaboration with key customers ensuring the needs on both sides are being met.
  • Transformative Change Agent: Leverage deep partnership experience to drive transformative changes as we grow and develop our partnership and ecosystem scale across partner types and industries.
  • Operational Excellence: Demonstrate a strong operational and execution mindset, with the ability to translate strategy into actionable plans that drive revenue growth.
  • Collaborative Execution: Collaborate with cross-functional teams across field sales, product development, marketing, and finance to ensure a unified approach to achieving sales targets.
ABOUT YOU 
Qualifications 
  • 7+ years of experience building and managing revenue and scale generating partnerships with automotive Tier 1, Tier 2 or OEM networks.
  • A strong background in software sales, professional services, and development, with proven expertise in delivering growth through partner ecosystems.
  • Possess an engineering mindset and the ability to understand and articulate the technical aspects of software solutions in the context of partners.
  • Excellent track record in executive engagement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or above in Science and engineering background, such as Computer Science, Automation, Communication Engineering, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree strongly preferred.
