Job Description

Salesforce is seeking a Strategy & Programs Analyst to join its Sales Strategy team, an internal consulting organization for the sales team. This role involves analyzing key performance indicators, setting strategic themes, and presenting recommendations to senior leaders. The specialist will work on organizational design, business planning, market segmentation, and sales performance evaluation projects, requiring strong analytical, communication, and proactive problem-solving skills.
Must have:
  • Create and conduct presentations for senior executives.
  • Perform daily business performance analysis to support executive decision-making.
  • Design and build analytical models with scalable reports and tools.
  • Regularly share information and improve activities with sales organizations and related departments.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative data analysis and internal/external research for market understanding and devising innovative customer acquisition strategies.
  • Design analytical models necessary for Go-To-Market model optimization.
  • Design and implement optimal sales territories, alliance models, and targets.
  • Manage and operate multiple projects and initiatives in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Exchange information and negotiate with US headquarters and overseas affiliates.
  • Identify key challenges in the Japan/Korea market and drive solutions.
  • Collaborate with country managers/leadership teams to formulate and execute long-term strategies.
  • Prepare quarterly business review (QBR) materials for local and global leadership.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis modeling and spreadsheet skills, experience in database analysis.
  • Ability to perform analysis and make recommendations that lead to concrete actions, design feasible and realistic measures.
  • Ability to act proactively, desire to achieve results beyond required tasks.
  • Project management experience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, involving others towards goals, with the speed of a venture company.
  • Fluent communication in Japanese and English (TOEIC 800+ equivalent).
Good to have:
  • University degree, major requiring statistics/analysis such as engineering, information science, economics.
  • Work experience in a consulting firm or planning department of a business company.
  • Experience in partnership strategy formulation or building new partnership models.
  • Experience in enabling/training new employees and less experienced members in analysis and report creation.
  • Experience analyzing with Salesforce, Tableau CRM, Tableau.
  • Work experience in data extraction, data shaping, and big data analysis using SQL.

Sales Strategy is an internal consulting organization for the sales team, and specialists play a crucial role within it.

Specialists are responsible for analyzing key indicators related to company performance and market opportunities, setting strategic themes for the sales organization, and making recommendations and presentations to senior leaders.

They will be involved in projects such as organizational design, business planning, market segmentation/coverage optimization, and sales performance evaluation.

Required deliverables include sophisticated analytical models, performance analysis, various dashboards, and presentation materials for internal executives.

Specialists are expected to have the drive and skills for scalable and iterative analysis, innovative analysis, data-backed insights and recommendations, and strong communication skills. They will regularly engage in discussions with senior executive layers.

Responsibilities

  • Create and conduct presentations for senior executives.
  • Daily business performance analysis to support executive decision-making.
  • Design and build analytical models using scalable reports and tools.
  • Regular information sharing and improvement activities with sales organizations and related departments.
  • Qualitative and quantitative data analysis, and internal/external research for market understanding and devising innovative customer acquisition strategies.
  • Design analytical models necessary for Go-To-Market model optimization.
  • Design and implement optimal sales territories, alliance models, and targets.
  • Manage and operate multiple projects and initiatives in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners (marketing specialists, data vendors, partners).
  • Information exchange and negotiation with US headquarters and overseas affiliates.
  • Identify key challenges in the Japan/Korea market and drive solutions.
  • Collaborate with country managers/leadership teams to formulate and execute long-term strategies (investment plans, GTM strategies) to achieve medium-to-long-term aspirational goals.
  • Prepare quarterly business review (QBR) materials for local and global leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • Proficiency in financial analysis modeling and spreadsheet skills, experience in database analysis.
  • Ability to perform analysis and make recommendations that lead to concrete actions, design feasible and realistic measures.
  • Ability to act proactively, desire to achieve results beyond required tasks.
  • Project management experience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, involving others towards goals, with the speed of a venture company.
  • Fluent level communication in Japanese and English (equivalent to TOEIC 800 or higher). Korean language skills are a plus.
