This role, within the transit division, involves integrating subsystems and products to meet client technical requirements. The System Project Engineer will define and implement technical project activities, ensuring they adhere to specified budget and planning constraints. Key responsibilities include acting as the primary technical interface between Engineering and client engineering, managing the contractual technical scope, and ensuring the coherence of complete technical solutions, particularly for pneumatic control and mechanical brake equipment. The engineer will also oversee technical deliverables, conduct design reviews, manage technical risks, and report on project performance.

  • Ensure project reporting (Project Performance Review).
  • Allocate, monitor, and update budget for technical developments.
  • Manage client-issued technical modification requests.

Who will you work with?

You will report to the System Engineering Manager and be a member of a team of 5 system engineers.

How will you make a difference?

Attached to the transit division, you will be responsible for integrating subsystems and products to meet client technical requirements, and for defining and implementing technical activities for the projects entrusted to you, within defined budget and planning limits.

What would we like to know about you?

  • You have a technical Bac +4/5 in mechanics or electrotechnics or are an engineer.
  • You have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role (system engineer, technical project manager).
  • You have technical experience in mechanical engineering (compliance with specifications, knowledge of pneumatic or hydraulic plans and diagrams, choice of technical solutions, dimensioning, technologies).
  • You have experience in executing technical projects in a standardized mechanical environment: railway, aeronautics, automotive, defense, medical equipment, etc.
  • You have a professional level of English.
  • You are authorized to work in the E.U.

What will your typical day look like?

  • You are the main technical interface between Engineering and Client Engineering for the execution of the technical projects entrusted to you.
  • You manage the applicable contractual technical scope and ensure the coherence of the complete technical solution (pneumatic control and mechanical brake equipment).
  • You take QCD responsibility for all technical deliverables, in accordance with the WBS (Work Breakdown Structure), with the support of the project technical team (design, lab tests, train tests).
  • You conduct system design reviews with the project team and participate in the achievement of project milestones.
  • You manage technical risks associated with the project and lead requirements traceability activities.
  • You ensure reporting for your projects (Project Performance Review).
  • You allocate, monitor, and, if necessary, update the budget allocated to technical developments (hours and fixed costs).
  • With the project manager, you manage technical modification requests issued by the client (technical impacts and costs).
