Must have:
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans for notebook and desktop systems.
  • Ensure product quality for ARM-based and x86-based platforms.
  • Lead system Hardware & Software Compatibility testing with ODM partners.
  • Collaborate on project resource planning, issue troubleshooting, and risk mitigation.
  • Manage project documentation in Mandarin and English.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering, or related.
  • 5+ years in system level hardware and software integration testing.
  • Strong understanding of drivers, modules, firmware, and utilities.
  • Experience in PC project test planning and execution, including Windows on Arm and WHQL.
  • Ability to review requirements, specifications, and designs for quality.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional and ODM test teams.
  • Fluent verbal and written communication in English and Chinese.
Good to have:
  • Experience on conferencing solution including Video and Audio related is preferred.

Job Summary

We are seeking highly skilled and technically capable System Validation Program Manager candidates to drive both Test Design Solution and System Compatibility/Integration for the qualification of full system hardware and software across HP’s commercial laptop and desktop products, with a strong emphasis on ARM and x86 platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases for notebook and desktop systems, covering hardware, software, and peripheral compatibility.
  • Ensure product quality for both ARM-based and x86-based platforms.
  • Lead and manage system Hardware & Software Compatibility testing with ODM partners.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external ODM partners for project resource planning, issue troubleshooting, and risk mitigation.
  • Provide and coordinate appropriate guidance and training for internal and partner engineering teams, to maintain or improve the existing quality level of HP commercial PC
  • Manage project documentation, reports, and deliverables in both Mandarin and English.

**Education & Experience Recommended**

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of system level hardware and software level integration testing, Display, webcam, commodity and modules compatibility testing and troubleshooting. Well understanding on drivers, modules, firmware and utilities is a must. Experience on conferencing solution including Video and Audio related is preferred.
  • Experience on test planning and execution on PC projects is a must, with knowledge in PC operating system (Windows on Arm) and WHQL.
  • Ability to review requirements, specifications, and designs to assure product quality and plan implementation.
  • Proven records from real PC projects working with cross-functional teams and leading ODM multi test teams to ensure qualification of projects on schedule.
  • Strong communication and interaction skill with internal teams and ODM partners is a must, with fluent verbal and writing ability in English and Chinese.
  • Be able to travel oversea when it is needed
