Job Description
Kavaliro is seeking a Systems Engineer I to support a client in Maryland. The role requires experience with standard development processes, issue tracking, and documentation tools like Jira, Confluence, and Gitlab. Candidates should understand the software development lifecycle, systems engineering processes, and requirements management. Experience implementing Agile processes in Jira, managing technical engineering documentation, and familiarity with security and compliance certification processes are also essential. Desired skills include experience with container orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes), systems monitoring, AWS cloud services, language analysis, and 508 accessibility compliance. This position is onsite, with no remote availability.
Must have:
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, Gitlab
- Understanding of SDLC and systems engineering
- Experience managing technical documentation
- Experience with security compliance processes
- Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
Good to have:
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes
- Experience with systems monitoring
- AWS cloud services experience
- Language analysis experience
- Experience with 508 accessibility

- Experience with managing technical engineering documentation: design documents, system and dataflow diagrams, requirements, test procedures, etc.
- Experience with security and compliance certification process and required artifacts
- Experience with container orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
- Experience with systems monitoring and sustainment processes
- AWS cloud services experience
- Language analysis / linguist mission experience
- Experience with 508 accessibility compliance
- Fort Meade, MD
- This position is onsite and there is no remote availability
- Candidates must have an active TS/SCI security clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph
