Responsibilities
- Ideal candidate will possess extensive integration knowledge of operating systems, network infrastructures, fixing and relational databases as it relates to systems related product support.
- Must be a self-starter, keeping current on new and emerging technologies relevant to the business.
- Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability through monitoring, testing, performance validation and administration.
- Work with other multi-functional teams to identify and resolve platform or service-related defects that impact our products, services, and Customers.
- Continual operational, system, service, and platform improvements to enhance user experience and system reliability.
- Work collaboratively with other Service leaders to accomplish specific goals, draft guidelines and relevant procedures associated with the Systems Services organization that drives customer satisfaction and operational excellence with our platforms or services.
- Skill in supervising activities pertaining to operational and security standard methodologies across diverse platforms, encompassing on-premises, Cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure), and other hybrid solutions.
- Ability to directly lead and mentor less experienced personnel involving the planning, coordination and completion of daily projects such as new deliveries, routine maintenance and upgrades of any/all IGT Gaming Systems software applications.
- Proficiency in completing or implementing assigned complex systems related tasks that require detailed analysis and careful planning for significant financial impact and project visibility. Including pioneering projects for scalability and future proofing.
- Ability to draft, provide guidance and drive updates to detailed architecture related documentation.
- Ability to lead or participate in comprehensive system & operational analysis of server hardware, system configurations, network communication across multiple platforms. This includes ensuring newer technologies and products work with proprietary legacy systems.
- Ability to interact directly with other senior and junior level staff throughout the various organizations within IGT (i.e. Product Management, Development, Sales, etc.) and exercise some decision-making authority as it relates to our business and day to day activities.
- Serve as a SME for automation / development life-cycle tools: tools support testing, monitoring, integration/release, and scheduling areas.
- Must possess the ability to request, interpret and transmit highly complex, strategic information requiring extensive explanation or interpretation to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to utilize remote connectivity solutions to provide real-time support on production systems while conforming to compliance guidelines.
- Must have a strong understanding of customer service principles and the ability to work with customers (internal and external to IGT) who possess various levels of skill and competency.
- Ability to lead or conduct test plans to recreate field related issues in one or more lab environments, determine root cause and deliver solutions to the proper channels to address them in the field.
- Assess the viability of certain concepts, including risks, benefits and people needed to bring these projects to fruition.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of work experience in Systems Engineering, Quality Assurance, Database Administration, IT or a related engineering support capacity
- 5+ years of distributed build/deploy experience in single instance and distributed environments (multi-tenant / multi-tier)
- Strong knowledge in the maintenance, administration, configuration, and integration of server infrastructure, operating systems, applications, and relational databases (on-premises or Cloud based)
- Experience in Cloud computing platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure (Microsoft) and Google Cloud Platform
- Strong experience with DevOps toolsets such as JIRA, Jenkins, GitHub, Salt/Puppet, Cloud Formation
- Proficiency in Automation for both Windows & Linux scripting in (BASH, PowerShell and Python) Sound planning and resource management skills
- Windows Server 2008/2012/2016/2019 SQL Server 2008/2012/2014/2016 installation, configuration and administration Strong network background (switching, routing and firewalls) including complex network topology design and implementation (LAN & WAN)
- Virtualization (VMware, Windows, etc.)
- Understanding of storage solution including (SAN, vSAN, etc)
- Backup Solutions
- Understanding of load balancing techniques (A10, F5, Windows, etc.)
- Experience in working in a high demand and high-pressure area with professionalism, courtesy, and confidence.
- Excellent analytical skills
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written, including presentation skills
- Strong business sense that enables collaboration with various functional areas including Marketing, Legal, Finance, Sales, IT, and Suppliers (internal or external).
- This role requires travel, mostly domestic, some international travel possible.

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $60,989 - $200,500. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses .
