General Summary:

Introduction

Stone Product Qualification team is responsible for:

• Conformance: running internal pre-certification tests to ensure readiness for official certifications (GCF, PTCRB, network operators)
• Pre-qualification: implement test scenarios replicating customers test cases/use cases, investigate issues reported by customers

There is a strong focus on LTE 4G IoT (Cat-M, NB-IoT, NB2, Cat1Bis)

Responsibilities

• Conformance:
  • create and maintain test plans based on 3GPP test cases applicability criterias and inputs from GCF and PTCRB
  • run test plan on Rohde&Schwarz, Anritsu, or Keysight test equipments
  • testing automation
  • investigate failing test cases, raise ticket with detailed analysis,
  • track reported tickets and support development and integration teams
  • share test report with detailed status and ticket number for each test failure
  • test equipment maintenance (install software updates, calibration etc.)

• Pre-qualification:
  • Not main focus. Candidate may participate in this activity, but only if volunteer and if workload allows it.

Profile

• Ability to analyze, track and report issues
• Ability to understand and instrument the Protocol Stack software (C/C++) for debug and investigation purpose
• Ability to understand and investigate interaction of various protocol layers and their application in a wireless  or cellular environment (Wifi, 4G, LTE, 5G)
• Knowledge of 3GPP standards (LTE Release 13, LTE Release 14,Cat-M, NB-IoT, NB2, Cat1Bis)
• Knowledge of 3GPP TS 36.521-1, 36.523-2, 36.523-1, 31.121, 31.124
• Knowledge of Network Operators certifications : Verizon Wireless (IMS, IMSLess, DFIT, GFIT), AT&T, T-mobile
• Highly motivated
• Fast learner and autonomous
• Work well within a multicultural team
• Knowledge in C and C++, Python, Linux, git, administration tools
• Knowledge of other wireless technologies (GPS, Wifi, Lora, Sigfox…) is a plus

Required experience

• Engineer degree in the area of Telecommunications, Electronic systems and/or embedded software
• 3+ years of professional experience in telecoms domain
• Experience in validation and/or integration of wireless devices (GSM, GPRS, UMTS, LTE, 4G, 5G)
• Experience in scripting language (Python preferred)
• Experience in official Certification is a plus
• Fluent in English with excellent written and spoken communication skills (French is a plus)
