General Summary:
Job Overview:
As a member of Qualcomm’s Audio Systems Group, you will work on the forefront of on-device AI and multimedia technology. Your focus will be on the design and implementation audio solutions on snapdragon platforms. You will help architect and optimize the audio solutions for deployment on next-generation Snapdragon platforms across mobile, XR, compute, IoT, and automotive markets.

Resposibilities
This position requires the candidate to design and implement framework and drivers for advanced audio features.
Responsibilities also includes driving the features end to end, colloborating with global teams, debugging and troubleshooting issues and performance validation.
Create, prototype, and commercialize innovative audio solutions using both traditional signal processing and ML frameworks.
Analyze and validate performance of audio subsystems to meet strict metrics for robustness, power, and stability on Qualcomm platforms.
Collaborate with cross-functional R&D, systems, and integration teams for system use case verification and commercialization support.
Work closely with internal engineering teams and customers to drive successful commercialization of audio technologies.
Requirements
Proven ability to design, debug and document complex software applications
C or C++ with multi-threaded programming and debugging experience is required.
Experience with P4, Git, or similar SCM tools.
Strong operating systems and software engineering skills
Experience with Android framework and middleware is highly desired.
Familiarity with Android audio framework, NuPlayer, Audio Track, AudioFlinger/AudioPolicyManager, HAL, and other Android components is highly desired.
Experience with embedded platforms, DSP architectures, real-time operating systems, and software design patterns.
Experience in developing, implementing, and debugging audio solutions on ARM, DSP or RISC-V is Plus
Experience in ML Framework, AI inferencing is plus.
Prior experience in Automotive audio is plus
Experience developing and debugging in embedded environments
Strong Object Oriented Design fundamentals and design pattern experience is desired.
Knowledge of the Linux kernel and its operation is highly desired
Strong debugging skills and familiar with debugging environments such as gdb, JTAG/Trace32 is highly desired.
Experience in Audio pre/post-processing algorithms for subjective quality enhancement (EC/NS, ANC, ICC, AGC/ limiter, SRC, speech recognition, etc.) is a plus.
Experience in audio processing pipeline implementation for media applications (playback, capture, voice call, software defined radio, etc.) is a plus
Experience with Java or C# is a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
Mature interpersonal skills with an ability to collaboratively work with many varied teams and resolve problems spanning many disciplines
Proven ability to work in a dynamic, multi-tasked environment
Self-starter who likes to be challenged and solve tough complex issues
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
Educational Qualification:
Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Engineering, Electronics and communication, Computer Science or related filed.
2+ years experience in Audio framework and drivers development
