Ubisoft Paris, a pioneering studio since 1992, is seeking an Audio Director to define and implement the global sound strategy for a project. This role involves combining artistic vision with innovative technology, overseeing audio integration in the Snowdrop engine, collaborating with various teams, and contributing to generative audio solutions. Must Have

  • Confirmed experience in audio direction in the industry and good mastery of a game engine
  • Knowledge of audio integration tools and production pipelines

Job Description

The Audio Director will be responsible for defining and implementing the overall sound strategy for the project, combining a classic artistic approach with an innovative technological dimension.

  • Define the audio artistic direction of the project: sound effects, music, voices, soundscape.
  • Produce and supervise audio integration in the game engine (Snowdrop).
  • Collaborate with narrative, game design, GPP, sound designers, and ML engineers teams.
  • Participate in the creation of vocal datasets via actor recordings.
  • Evaluate and refine the quality of cloned voices in connection with ML models.
  • Contribute to the research and development of generative audio solutions (voices, music, real-time sound effects).
  • Define audio quality criteria and support the improvement of internal models.
  • Explore innovative avenues to enrich the player's sound experience.

Qualifications

  • Confirmed experience in audio direction in our industry and good mastery of a game engine.
