Job Summary

The Sound Designer will create original music, game sound design, and audio assets, utilizing various audio and music software. They will collaborate with game teams, manage tasks, and ensure high-quality audio implementation for interactive and linear media. Key responsibilities include producing and mixing sound for promo videos, evaluating in-game audio, and managing asset pipelines. The role requires strong audio engineering fundamentals, self-management, and problem-solving skills.

Must Have

  • Create original music and high-quality game sound design.
  • Proficiency in audio software: Reaper, Pro Tools, Logic, Waves, Kontakt, Vi's, soft synths.
  • Experience with iMovie for video mock-ups.
  • Collaborate with game teams (designers, developers, QA, PMs).
  • Familiarity with Windows/macOS productivity tools: Jira, TFS, Perforce, Sharepoint.
  • Evaluate and implement in-game audio assets.
  • Produce, mix, and edit sound for linear promo videos.
  • Manage tasks and prioritize milestones effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of sound design and musicware content libraries.
  • Experience with audio asset export and pipeline.
  • Test and verify audio work with QA teams.
  • Design, edit, mix, master, and implement interactive/linear media content.
  • Solid understanding of audio engineering fundamentals for studio recording.
  • Demonstrate strong self-management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Job Description

The leading game company in their slot gaming segment is hiring a Sound Designer.

Roles and Expectations:

  • Create original music in many genres.
  • Create game sound design and audio assets at a high quality.
  • Experience with current audio and music software such as Reaper, Pro Tools, Logic, Waves, Kontakt, Vi's and soft synths.
  • Create music and sound explorations then merry to video mock up demos edited in iMovie to showcase explorations to get team feedback.
  • Coordinate, communicate and collaborate syncing with game teams which include game designers, Tech designers, creative designers, developers, QA and PM's to solve problems and create amazing audio.
  • Experience with Windows and/or macOS productivity software such as word processors, spreadsheets, Jira, TFS, Perforce and Sharepoint.
  • Very open to suggestions, revisions and change requests throughout the game production process.
  • Evaluate audio mix and implementation of audio assets in-game and adjust according to needs.
  • Produce, mix and edit sound linear promo videos.
  • Manage and prioritize assigned tasks and milestones, with a focus on achieving goals on schedule.
  • Broad library knowledge in sound design and musicware content.
  • Asset export and pipeline.
  • Test and verify work in tandem with Get and QA teams.

Qualifications:

  • Experience designing, editing, mixing, mastering and implementing content for interactive and linear media.
  • Firm grasp of audio engineering fundamentals for studio recording.
  • Strong self-management, organizational and problem solving skills, ability to work independently while having a great team player attitude.
