Job Summary
IOI is building an ambitious new IP for console and PC, aiming to revolutionize the fantasy RPG genre. We are seeking a talented Technical Sound Designer to design and implement scripted audio systems using our in-house engine and Wwise middleware. The role involves creating high-quality audio assets, providing technical support for sound designers, and improving audio using proprietary tools. This position requires active cross-disciplinary collaboration from conceptualization to production, advocating for audio to engineering staff, and partnering with team members to find solutions that best support quality audio.
Must Have
- Design and implement scripted audio systems using in-house engine and Wwise middleware
- Create final level assets using pre-recorded and in-house recordings
- Provide technical support for sound designers
- Improve and implement audio using proprietary tools
- Actively participate in cross-disciplinary collaboration
- Act as a liaison to advocate for audio to engineering staff
- At least 3 years of professional experience in game audio
- Involvement in at least one AAA game project
- Proficient in scripting environments such as Unreal Blueprints, Max, Pure Data
- Possess a critical eye for storytelling through sound
- Strong reel/portfolio demonstrating sound design, design process, and technical design skills
- Proficiency in fantasy sound design

We are seeking a talented Technical Sound Designer to help bring this dream to life.
What you will do:
- Design and implement scripted audio systems using our in-house engine and Wwise middleware.
- Create final level assets using a combination of pre-recorded material and in-house recordings, ensuring high-quality audio assets.
- Provide technical support for sound designers.
- Improve and implement audio using our proprietary tools, with a keen focus on the combined game experience.
- Actively participate in cross-disciplinary collaboration, from initial conceptualization to final production, contributing to the overall audio vision of the game.
- Act as a liaison to advocate for audio to the engineering staff, and partner with team members across disciplines to find solutions that best support quality audio.
Who you are:
- A technical sound design generalist with proven experience in game audio.
- Have at least 3 years of professional experience in game audio, with involvement in at least one AAA game project.
- Proficient in scripting environments such as Unreal Blueprints, Max, Pure Data, etc., for audio implementation.
- Possess a critical eye for storytelling through sound, capable of bringing rich soundscapes to life.
- Showcase a strong reel/portfolio demonstrating sound design, design process, and technical design skills.
- Demonstrate proficiency in fantasy sound design, with the ability to create immersive audio experiences in fantastical settings.
